So, if I'm belt ratting are there regular faction spawns/drops?

If so, is it possible to tell them apart from the regular rats?

Yes, faction rats can spawn in belts. They'll have the faction name. So Shadow Serpentis, Dread Gurista, True Sansha, Dark Blood, forget what the Angel one is.

Don't be disappointed if you don't find them, they are pretty rare.Blink

That's good to know, I was worried that I'd missed some lucrative drops.

They have stronger tanks, do more DPS and I am pretty sure they have higher bounties.

You probably would have noticed.

Killed a dread gurista today while mining in .6. It had 100k bounty, faction rockets, small faction ammo and a tag.

My favorites are when they drop implants. I have a couple, but they are rare.

Check gate spawns as well. I've run into several on gates. Usually tags and ammo of course.

I remember once picking up a LG Omega from a faction belt rat in a 0.8 system. Once.

The implants are not all that rare, except for the slot 6 hardwire.

I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

they do (or did, 2-4x iirc)

the last time I ratted in nul people were mostly chaining the BS spawns, which meant faction spawns wouldn't happen
I used to get whinged at for clearing the belts completely, but I was after the faction spawns not isk/hr ratio's

there have been several updates since then, so stuff will have undoubtedly changed, possibly not for the better Shocked

Confirming Domination for Angels.

A Domination Tracking Enhancer paid for my Mackinaw. A Hauler spawn hopped into the 0.6 belt I was mining. The hauled minerals are worth decent change, so I sent my drones after them. They were all frigates, so I didn't even bother looking at the names. Left the belt and came back with a Mammoth to clean up, and jaw hit the desk when I saw that my cargo was worth 150 million. They're exceedingly rare, but when they spawn... hoo boy. Jump on them.
