And pic #24 is him getting ready for taking pics for the cover of the Danger Game, CCP's board game that comes with the Collectors Edition. Also the original Icelandic version helped fund the development of EVE itself, so we kinda owe the creation of EVE to this man, in one way or another.

Also, I was making light of the fact that inbreeding is a prevalent problem in Iceland. There is even an iphone app designed to help prevent people there from inadvertently hooking-up with relatives.

Doc Fury is indeed correct, with a population of only 320,000 and a limited gene pool, there is a genealogical database that can be used to check whether or not potential or existing partners are too closely related for comfort.

seriously though, what do you expect to happen when your mayor's life work before politics was a professional comedian?
he's one of the most famous comedians in icelandic history by the way, :)

most people thought him running for mayor was a joke, but people were angry at the old known politicians for the 2008 world economy mess, so they voted for the new guy
didnt hurt that he was famous and quite popular too :)
