I was unable to confirm or disprove my opinion that onboard scanner refreshes every minute or so when sensor overlay is on.

Does it refresh scanned signatures/anoms in some time interval or only upon session change? (boarding ship, undocking, entering system...)

I Think new sigs apear in space on the discovery scanner instantly. Or are ar least supposed to. From what I've been told it was rather bug ridden at launch and im not sure how much they fixed.

1.1 will make them fully persistent:

Quote:
These results used to be populated when you entered the system and when you started scanning we would only show the ones which the probes were in range of. This was a bit odd behavior since you could get those results back by re-logging or jumping in and out of the system.

So that's good. But right now, yeah, it's weird and I don't know what logic it's working on. I'm slightly skeptical anyone else is sure either.

I found just changing the filters will update the list of anomalies if it bugs out.

I have tested it a bit.

method: scan anomaly in close distance. Keep track of its code and range. War some AUs from anomaly. When distance to anomaly changes on scanner then it is considered refreshed.

results: scanner didnt refresh in several minutes. After checking and unchecking show anomalys it refreshed instantly. According to this changing filter shoul probably work too.
