Rig Removal

Ok with all the new ship changes going on, there are alot of rigs now becoming redundant.

Therefore a few suggestions to put forward.

1. Remove the rigs when you carry out the role change and place in hgr.
2. Allow rigs to be removed
3. Or bring out a new skill, yes another one. This skill per lvl would give 10-15% chance of successful rig removal


I would say this is a fair way of dealing with this issue.

What are your thoughts?

Came in expecting to read a thread on why rigs should be removed from the game.

Left disappointed.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

I actually have to agree with the OP and requested this in the T1 Industrial "Balancing Thread".

When you make so many changes to ships there should be a "Would you like to remove your rigs" option on next dock to enable you to reconfigure on ships that have been "Balanced".

This allows players to take into account what has changed and an example would be Hybrid Turret Rig for 15% extra range. Ship gets balanced for +15% range but -10% Tracking. Now you want to add a Tracking Rig but you have a Rig on there giving +15% range (Total = 30% range) which is now of little use as it's been nerfed with the buff.

+1 from me but ONLY for ships that have been balanced in that particular wave and only on 1st dock-up.

EDIT:

As for Rig Removal Skill, this should be a service much like the Repair Shop and is offered in stations at a price. No skill required as you don't need skill to repair using Station Services.

A little bump of love for others comments since Odyssey 1.1 has been released and everyone's favourite T1 Industrial's require re-rigging and before the Marauders are changed.
