Caldari lvl 3's harder?

I have had alot of trouble doing Caldari lvl 3 missions but I wipe the floor with Amarr, Minmatar and Gallente lvl 3 missions. I am very confused, seems to be far greater rewards for lvl 3 Caldari missions but they seem very tough.

More ECCM
More DPS
More Tank

The missions just feel 10 x harder then any other races lvl 3's. Is it supposed to be like this? Nothing to do with Hardeners etc because I use mission specific hardeners/ammo/drones.

+1 Like for good feedback, thanks.

The rewards system for missions is dynamic. Somewhere on the server they keep a list of every time a given mission is run and the elapsed time from acceptance to completion. The average time to complete the mission is used to determine the rewards. The longer it tends to take, the higher the standing increase, the more money is paid, the larger the time bonus, the greater the time limit for said bonus, and the more loyalty points are paid out. This is the reason why Materials for War Preparation sucks; people tend to not accept the mission until they already have the ore in the station, and take 10 seconds max to complete it. It's also why new missions start out with worthless rewards; there's no database of completion times for it.

Caldari missions are typically against Guristas. Guristas jam. Every time you get jammed there's another 20 seconds of you doing nothing. That'll tend to make them take longer. I can easily see this translating into higher rewards.

PVP is a question with no single right answer, but a lot of wrong ones.

Interesting, makes sense really.

Getting on to doing Gurista missions easily, consider the Tengu to the Raven. With an ECCM on a Tengu and the dissolution subsys at Tengu Elec 5 you can get a really high sensor strength, which should reduce the frequency of you being jammed out. You get over 51 sensor strength with a weaker powered low slot Grav back array.

A Raven by default has 21 Sensor strength and is there fore twice as likely to be jammed out than that Tengu. And it's not only that but the Tengu has a higher scan res and so can re-lock the rats faster.

Exploit other people's unfortunate permajams and make iskies!

Yeah I needed to up Caldari standings recently. My solution? Build a Drake. Load FOFs. Go make a sandwich. I think CCP was trying to make them more interesting, Made them pretty boring instead. Thinking of building a Rattler for the next round...

I'm quite curious as well, I ran L3's in Amarra in a Drake with no issues as well as a few L4's just a bit slower for those. I'm currently working on getting my standing up to start doing Caldari L3's

Bacause making a sandwich is more fulfilling than spamming the target button? I mean L3s vs. anything but Gurista I'll use a AF or a faction cruiser and knock it out in a minute. But there is no point doing Caldari. CCP wants boring CCP gets boring....

The guristas are perma jamming for 10 or 20 minutes is not fair .

Thats why i do my missions in the Amarr space.

Lv3's in a Golem? surely that was slower than Drake given the range of targets being mostly frigates and cruisers.

I find it hard to believe that people are still whining about Gurista jamming. There are maybe two lvl 4 missions I will put on an ECCM mod and thats it. Any of the other missions that jam will maybe hit for one cycle. Not really a big deal.Ugh
