Because I have a strong suspicion that it's basically just being pulled out of their ass, where it grew like some malevolent, bitter tumor of wishful thinking and grumpy self-delusion.

I'd like to know that aswell, last I checked the game has a solid playerbase of maybe around 15 000 players around the clock, since at any given moment the population of the DUST servers seems to hover the 5000 region.

But seriously, can't you guys just stop with the frigging "DUST is dead, DUST sucks, DUST is dying" threads? They're frigging everywhere and are starting to get annoying.

There might be a problem with revival because PCs already have Blacklight, Planetside, MW, APB Reloaded and upcoming The Division, Destiny, Firefall MMO shooters - and they are damn good (if not great).

Why should this stop CCP ? When EVE was created there was an abundance of MMO's.

Did the existence of a flooded fast food market prevent the creation and success of Five Guys ? Or Taco Bell, Chipotle ?

Five guys...

Are they a pop group, or is this some American thing?

Excellent Burgers and Fries. Also....Google Smile

Only after they stop with the EVE is dead threads.

With that said, once EVE dies send me all your ISK/assets and I'll refund all the money you spent on PLEX....

In all honesty I was thinking about getting a PS3 at one point to play Dust on it, I also did enjoy the Gran Turismo series even if they were a little lack lustre of late...

Wait till PS4 comes out and get a #3 for cheap.

Also Gran Turismo is awesome...but lets not sidetrack from the "why did i download a free game and spend weeks playing it, I hate this game and its dead to me just like the exgirlfriend i never had!" thread.

If you think DUST sucks how bout you offer some decent feedback like any real beta-tester would...or did you trick yourself into thinking you paid $60 for a full game?

It doesn't matter if you think it's dead now. It's being continuously developed, is free-to-buy and free-to-play and can be downloaded/updated whenever you want, so when you see it's been updated after your hiatus you can jump back in and see how much it has improved.

As I do not eat burgers, fries or the seriously revolting things called peanuts, I am close to being terrified.Smile

But like DUST, no one is forcing me to partake of it, or them.

I wish DUST no harm as it is financed by CCP, but having watched DUST game play on you-tube, no thanks.

That DUST is only on the PS3 may be a smart move by CCP as when the PS4 comes out, new games will made for it alone, leaving the many folk with a PS3 a dearth of new games, which may make free to play DUST look more attractive.

This is not a signature.

Will take an interest in Dust when it's the "One Universe / One War" CCP claims it to be.

Right now, its New Eden and some silly score based slap fest they call Dust 514 that has near zero impact or interface with our universe.

Try harder. Troll is not subtle enough. Too overt.

So are you saying there's a place in the market for CCP to provide something different to what you've listed, like a crap FPS?

So when about half the playerbase trades in their PS3's for store credit towards a purchase of a PS4 at their local game stops. What will happen than? . All of this has happened before (Nov. 2006) and will happen again.

Interesting fact: Sony stopped making Playstation 2s in January this year.
