I am not going to sit here and argue with the masses. This is a video game that I pay for and I should have the freedom to move around and experience different things. If for any reason I am not satisfied, or do not approve of the content or am offended I should be able to leave without a growing corp history for someone to pass judgement on 3 yrs later. It NEEDS TO BE A ROLLING YEAR or NOT VISIBLE UNLESS I APPLY TO A NEW CORP.

I'm sorry that you feel you have been discriminated against, but this is EVE where theft, AWOX'ing and spies are all common place. It takes alot of time and effort to build and maintain a successful corporation and I feel that CEO's and recruiters deserve the right (as paying customers just like you) to protect what they have built. And if you exhibit behaviour similar to that of one of these "shady" player types then I don't think it unreasonable for people to be suspicious of you, your intent and your allegiances.

I completely understand that you have a life outside of EVE and yes you are correct, it is just a game. A game with varying play styles. What you deem as "unrealistic goals" will suit other players just fine and in fact that is probably exactly the play style they are looking for. Otherwise they probably wouldn't have joined that corporation. I hate to say it, but by the sounds of things you did not do your homework before joining that corporation. If you had talked with them for a little while, asked them what was expected of you, their goals, just basically gotten to know them a little before joining then you probably wouldn't have had this problem. But what's done is done and no amount forum posts will change that.

In any case you want this to be changed so that only CEO's (and I assume recruiters) can see your history when you apply to their corp. I do not see how this will alleviate problems with people denying access to corporations based on your corporation history.
I would be totally against a one year rolling corporation history. As others have pointed out it's nice to be able to judge if you're fighting a one month old newbie or an eight year old vet.
Not only that, I know The Volition Cult run an NRDS policy, which is based off of corporation history. So your changes would more then likely make securing the providence region just that bit more difficult.

So those are my reasons against your idea. I'll admit a little more long-winded then I had first intended, but I got into a serious thing and then I forgot how it ended. ^_^

I usually don't e-stalk but I have to ask, did you actually chill in public channels for half any of these corps in your history? You seem to be picky, generally I found you get a small flavor of the corp personality in the public channels before joining. this could have saved you a few couple day stints clogging up your history.

Also like said above you may need to work on your people skills. Lots of peoples find new homes. new homes on the exact opposite side of the fence they were just on. I for example went from a goon pet to IT on the pvp char back in the day. How you make this happen...be personable. Just not diggin this scene, I wanna try yours out. was what recruitment chats broke down to. And it was honest. CAOD and all the side stuff means nothing to me.

And not find crews who take internet spaceships way too seriously. Omfg he was goon associated at one time. Must be a spy. yep....I am spy. Now can I please join the 200 other goons spies in your alliance that you missed as they were clean alts with no goon tagging in the past but have mittens in thier friends list in some IM program please....If you say this, make it sound funny. If a corp goes I like you, you know how it goes...its a good home. Smart crews know its not the obvious histories they need to worry about...it be the "clean" histories.

If they get even more paranoid, them turning you away is a good thing. they are tards who are delusional in thinking there are no spies in the trusted inner circle off the corp or alliance. this will not turn out well down the road I have found. usually witch hunting the noobs. Yep I leaked the op details to get ambushed when I have no f'ing idea where we are going till I right click titan...

Let me put it this way OP.

It will never work because there are websites that already track activity of all players, assuming this would happen they would just save entire corp history on servers since it's minimal amount of data, those wanting to check would just run queries on your ass and the checks would amount to the same effect.

It would quite literally have zero effect on any recruiter that uses his head.

That and it would be annoying checking age of characters ingame.

Screw this idea OP you didn't think this through.

It would be fun though if pirate factions would allow you to 'clear' your corp history for LP - you know the "new life" sort of a deal. More reasons to run their missions in hostile space.

Well, maybe they'd still be in the API to reward corps that actually check for that before accepting someone ;)

It's a solid -1 from me OP.

My reasons are this: I've been playing for over 9.5 Years and have a total of 3 Corps in my Emp. History:

Noob Corp
1st Corp
My Corp

I enjoy looking at my Corp History from all the way back and you should too. Look at where you've been, why you left and remind yourself never to go back to those Corps.

"The Butterfly Effect" is a fascinating part of EVE as are peoples Emp. Histories.

Nope, and this comes from a player with some 26 corps in 6 years.

9 were npc corps, 3 were returning to a former corp, 3 were falied corps, 4 were mergers and the others were in the pursuit of fun\changing desires\out growing corps\corps out growing me etc.

If you have a long corp history, you just need to talk to who ever you're applying to.

Failing that, sell your char and buy a new one if it bothers you that much.
