I was looking at the best way to fit a Bestower. I've played around with having it tank, trying to get the best speed out of it and also having a huge cargo hold.

Anyone have any ideas, I've looked at Battleclinic and there is also a salvage one as well.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

There are no 'bests' in EVE,. What are you trying to do with the Bestower exactly ?

Before you go slapping rigs on it which can only be modified by trashing, you may want to make sure you're familiar with the upcoming changes to the industrials:

Trying out all the things to do here in Eve - it's quite a checklist. So I made a blog Jakob's Eve Checklist

I know there is no best fit for a ship, but it was to get some ideas from other haulers of problems they had and how they got across it.

Everything is done in eft so far, thanks for the heads up Jakob.

Krixtal's response is still your best.

What are you trying to do? Maximum hauling? Quickest to align & warp? A mix? Something else?

Without that background information, you might as well be asking "What do I feel like eating today?"

Pretty much that Smile Like "How shd I set up mah PI Planetzzz ?"

There are skills involved here as well, not just mods and rigs. (edit): And also, where you are going with the ship, high, low, null, WH ?

Currently transporting goods in and around high sec and all of my crap/loot/salvage. I am looking towards a long term goal of eventually moving into low sec but that won't be for a good while yet.

Hang a Damage Control and 3 Cargo Expanders in the Low slots.

Put Shield Extenders and an Invulnerability Field in the Mids with an afterburner if you want quicker warp from gates.

A cloaking device in one of the high slots. Leave 2nd high slot empty.

For Low sec you will be better off with Impels and Prorators, but that's a different story altogether.

Itteron 5 will do more with L1 then the bestower at L5 currently.

Bestower will be good after the next patch again.

I'd just spend the 15-20 mins to get gallente industrial to L1 (( hell go for L2 ))

Then use that until update. Using a bestower instead is just a waste until the patch.

More tank, align , cargo all at the same time.

Currently their is a best in Eve when it comes to indy ships.

To be honest there are very limited uses for T1 industrial vessels and this will probably not change after the 'rebalancing' of said vessels. They should really only be flown in high sec and even then you don't want to have more than 20 million ISK worth of cargo in one and that much is really pushing the envelope.

For 'serious' hauling dependant on volume you should be using a T2 industrial, an Orca, or a Freighter. Anything else is a deathtrap.

T1 industrials should really only be used on short journeys to empty high sec PI or for doing level four distribution missions. Outside of these tasks they are just aluminium cans waiting to be kicked down the road by the local scumbag.

This.

Those things get blown up in a matter of seconds so don't haul anything in em unless you are warping to zero.

The funny thing is that with the new changes the the tanky T1s will be almost as tanky as Deep space transports (both fit for max Cargo)

A Sigil with few extenders ect is only 1000k EHP less than a Impel (both with an AB) and is much much faster

That being said the Impel can move about 2X more which is always a bonus :).
