Introducing: New Order Care Packages

Have you ever mined without being in compliance with the New Haliama Code of Conduct (seen at www.minerbumping.com)?

If so, you might have lost an exhumer, mining barge or escape capsule to agents of the New Order. You might have lost several.

In order to take some of the sting out of losing expensive pods, and as a gesture of goodwill towards miners that are considering becoming Code compliant, I and several other enforcers of the Code will now provide care packages to freshly euthanized miners that lose +5 stat implants.

From now on, for each +5 implant I destroy in a highsec gank, I pledge to send the gankee a +1 implant of the same type 'to help them get back on their feet'. Funding for this initiative will come from the profits I make trading exhumer hulls - in other words, from other miners. I'll write it off as a marketing expense.

I would like other gankers to consider signing on to this initiative, to help miners harvest skill points and to help miner euthanists harvest tears.

Hmm... interesting concept. If you want to add a bit of incentive, you could upgrade to +2s if they purchase a permit.

So you've got a pile of +1's for sale in HS and are encouraging other gankers to purchase your goods? Shame on you extorting other code enforcers

You know there are plenty of gankers (myself included) who do not honor mining permits.

I'm thinking about creating another toon just for bumping Orca's in ice belts with the mantra of saying "you don't leave enough ice for the non-mutliboxers", but I think won't honor permits doing that either.

If I were to gank a pod, I sure as hell won't give them any refund either.

I think that is the fallacy of actually paying miner bumping protection fees. Its just that most everyone else that they will run into in a dark alley in the ice belt doesn't give a damn if they have paid or not.

But you do have a ganker permit, right? You better get one if not. The penalties can be around 100million per gank without permit. But I am sure some sort of agreement can be arranged outside of the jurisdiction of Concord.

Do people even really care about the New order? All I hear is the same dribble coming from their posts as always. Boring, please find new material.

A New Order permit only protects from New Order ganks, we have never pretended otherwise. Prospective miners would be wise to be aware of Fart Meister's existance, and monitor local and get out ASAP if he/she/it shows up there.

But I highly recommend you try the issuing of +1 implants as a tear extraction method.

Why shouldn't one extort miners for all the market will bear? There's no shortage of non-willing miners to blast after you've gotten your pound of flesh from the soft-touches.

Not that I would ever gank an honest, hard working, upstanding, reliable, dependable miner but if my finger slipped a few times and some were accidentally destroyed and I found myself a criminal at -10.... How would one reliably continue accidentally the whole barge as a crim?

It can be done, although it requires a bit of preparation and well-placed off grid safe spots to bounce between (Facpo don't engage unless you spend a few seconds in one place, and unlike CONCORD, they bring significant but not overwhelming force and don't instapop you)

Or you can do what I do, and intersperse sec repair ops between miner euthanizations.

I'm sorry, are you an alt of one of the people I sold a Mackinaw to, then watchlisted, ganked, and laughed when they purchased a replacement Mackinaw from my market order? I love having Mackinaws for sale in the systems I gank the most in.

If you post with your main, I'll check my combat log to see if I popped any +5 implants of yours before this initiative, and if so I will contract you the appropriate +1s. No need for hard feelings then.

Also: FacPo don't engage pods. An Orca Alt could be useful...
