The following debug messages are being spammed:

err:d3d_surface:surface_load Not supported on scratch surfaces.
fixme:d3d:resource_check_usage Unhandled usage flags 0x8.

I have no idea of what to do to fix this so I am currently suppressing all debug messages as they were hurting performance as well.

WINEDEBUG=fixme-all,err-all,warn+cursor,-all wine "c:\program files\ccp\eve\eve.exe"

Though even while suppressing the messages the performance is noticeably hurting from something, any and all suggestions are very welcome!

Did you install the latest wine or the latest stable wine from the repositories?
I'm going to assume you installed the latest stable from the repositories because you still seem to require the following overrides:

Better install the latest wine version (1.7.?) because wine has tremendously improved since version 1.4 (seems to be the latest stable in the Debian Wheezy repository.

What's your GFX card? Due to the issue above I would guess you're on some intel integrated GFX card. If so, then you will not get great performance due to intel integrated GFX being just basic GFX support.

Also please in the future you need to provide more details about your system (wine version, gfx card, drivers, ...) before asking for help.

I suceeded with wine 1.7 . Compiling and looking for solutions took some time, mostly because of the i386 stuff. I never compiled Wine before. lack of experience took it's tribute. At the end an upgrade of the fglrx drivers to i386 was needed. Solution: apt-get install libgl1-fglrx-glx:i386

Why Debian Wheezy ? A few weeks ago I tried to installl a fresh an clean version of XP on my gaming PC. XP served me
well for one purpose only, Eve Online ofc Big smile After my HDD was formated, I inserted the XP CD ..but could not find my
registration keys X I guess I lost them during my last relocation. I went for Wheezy because I like the Gnome3 GUI and also like to have a stable OS.
