New York Area Meetup - Sunday September 1st @ 4pm

Where: Loreley Beer Garden (7 Rivington St New York, NY 10002)
When: Sunday, September 1st 4pm-7pm (approximately)
What: Beer, Food, "I was there"

I figured that the holiday weekend would be a perfect excuse for an eve meet! Come down to the Loreley beer garden on Sunday, September 1st to have an oversized brew (or 3), swap stories, and discuss the upcoming winter expansion. If you are planning to come please x up in this thread.

To answer a few questions:

How long will it last?

Generally in the past, meetups have gone a few hours. People will trickle in and out. It's pretty informal.

What should I bring?

Bring yourself and a good attitude. Feel free to bring a laptop if you like, but generally not many have done that in the past.

What if I'm under 21?

I believe it's fine as long as you do not advertise it and don't try to order a beer.

Can I share this on my corp/alliance/social media/etc?

Please do! The more the merrier!

Can I bring non-Eve people?

Sure, but they'll probably get bored.

What if I have other questions?

Do not hesitate to shoot me an Eve Mail or ask here!

Edit: I just moved here friday. Any advice what train to take from 42nd? I'm terrible at navigating without aura setting the autopilot for me.

Depends where you are on 42nd. East side 6 train probably easiest. Or the F B or D trains if you are more central. West side N or R. You'll want to check the map to be sure )))

F train to Essex is probably the closest, but 2nd Ave F is also fairly close.
Or the BDFM and 6 all stop at Broadway Lafayette which is only a few minutes walk.

Thank you folks :) I'll actually be taking the F train from queens, was just going to switch at one of the 42nd's if needed. Staying on the F train makes it easy! haha

Just saw a tweet about this from yesterday, wish i would've known, because i totally would've been there. Maybe this could become a monthly thing? I just moved to NYC 1 year ago and would love to meet some fellow eve players. Kicking myself big time for not checking my twitter more often and also for the fact that i rarely get on the forums.

so ya lets do that again soon.

Had a great time at the meetup, hope everyone else did too, we had around 12-13 people show up and had some great beer, food, and stories. If you're in the metro area you don't want to miss the next one. Cool

Thanks to everyone who came and contributed to a truly outrageous bar tab. We will definitely be doing another meetup soon so keep an eye on the forums for the time and place!
