Mac Sound Bug

Since a couple of patches ago, every time I launch a second client (after the first is logged in), the entire sound (drivers) cuts out and I lose sound on Eve, Teamspeak or anything, including the first client. Or, occasionally it'll do the slow sound bug where all the sounds play at a really slow speed (but TS3 remains fine).

If I open up options to deselect "Audio Enabled" and reselect it, the entire client freezes up. Once I force quit it, everything audio-related begins working on my computer, and it'll likely play all off the sounds that were "in the queue," like the volume up/down effects.

I'm running a first gen MacBook Pro with Retina Display outputting to a 24" Cinema display. I've used the USB audio to the display or I have tried optical audio out from the rMBP with my Astro A40s, and I get the same results wherever sound is output to.
