Bah! forum monster ganked my post, I am not typing it out again.

Eve is good enough that I pay for two accounts by annual subscription.

It is easy to spot the ones who do not like Eve, they do not play.

I enjoy being part of EVE.

Playing it...ehhh, I guess

I'm already happy.

I play EVE so that I can share that happiness with others, whether they want it or not.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

Playing eve make me happy, it is nice relaxing activity. I have found orca very nice ship, i can call it home in this game. I like exploration and finding treasures when dread gurista spawns, Long runs thru hisec, ocassionally sitting in orca and mining veldspar, reading forums, doing anomalies. All in one ship! Like a swiss knife.

It is proved that happiness is created by sharing moments with people you enjoy being around (citation NOT provided) so I am happy cos I interact with some great people.
Tasks in Eve at times is worse that a job (carrier building) so those things I do not enjoy.

I am aware of my own ignorance and have checked my emotional quotient - thanks for asking

Headquarters incursion fleets in EVE are the most interesting group PvE activity I've seen in MMO games. Much more fun than endless wipes in raid dungeons in MMORPGs.

Can't say EVE makes me (un)happy though - it's just a set of pixels without any dynamic (for example APB Reloaded is *much* more stressful for me despite "free death").

I like it. Grinding lvl 4's help me relax after work, and make wonders for my bowel movement.

I also enjoy fast paced, adrenaline pumped world of solo frig pvp!

i do enjoy eve. i suppose it does make me happy too. and i'm still surprised, when i stop to think about it, that i do. this is not the kind of game i usually like playing. on the surface it seems remarkable. i don't really like science fiction. i never gave a damn about spaceships. however, despite all that, when i did the trial...i found something in this game i hadn't really had in other games before. some raw nature in it. unforgiving. where every bit of enjoyment you have on a particular day balances on a knives edge and can, oh so easily, fall off to either side with just bad planning, bad execution...or just plain bad luck.

it was a unique experience. plus, i have met some really cool people in my time playing. strong friendships that transcend just being "logged in." the bonds that i've made simply make the game all that more worthwhile and enjoyable when i play.

Making plans and plotting about what I will do in EvE is great fun, makes me happy and tickles every strategic bone in my body.

Implementing those plans through actually playing EvE is a tedious clickfest that is better understood as an endurance sport than as a game.

There are two types of EVE player:

those who believe there are two types of EVE player and those who do not.

Unfortunately, I have long since stopped feeling the "rush" when I threw my ship into (un)certain death.
I miss those days when pvping in a Rifter got my heart pumping for hours.
So right now its mainly the social interaction I enjoy.
Does it make me happy? Yeah, kind of, at least enough to stay subscribed.

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

Wow. This guy nailed it.

OK, for my answer, I just started playing EVE a few weeks ago (aside from a trial account I had 7 years ago). I'm enjoying it because it's still new to me, and unlike any other MMO I've played. But already, even as a new player, I have to agree with RAW23, I get as much enjoyment out of studying up on ships, reading forums, and oogling ships in the market as I do actually playing the game.

Happy? Not sure about that. But yes, I enjoy EvE.

Why? Atm because it can be played extremely casually and still be something fun to do, while promising a lot when more spare time is available.

EVE does not keep me happy.

EVE keeps me entertained.

Looking to talk on VOIP with other EVE players? Are you new and need help with EVE (welfare) or looking for advice? Looking for adversarial debate with angry people?

It's an MMO, FFS!

It's not designed to make you happy. It's designed to make you addicted. Big difference.
