I like Eve because of the spaceships and the non grind of the skill system.

Predictability.

I know once (sorry, IF) I start mining I'll get X amount of ressource Y in time T and how I can influence that amount.

No lame drop chances or killing 10 animals so I get maybe 2 of their paws (remember, all wolves have paws, but not all wolves have wolf paws. hooray for logic!) and no killing a Tiger so he may per chance drop a friggin Chainmail (did he ate that thing or id someone knock him out and dress him up?).

Someone could of course decide to interfere, but then, I could have decided to prepare for that occasion in advance, no? Smile

Which brings me to

Risk:

Sounds strange as I am a high sec dweller and very rarely engage in PVP, but it's the mere chance that someone MIGHT attack me that makes undocking exciting. It's ofc even more exciting if someone actually attacks me and the fun is magnified by a factor of at least 10 if I manage to win (just getting aways still counts for a factor of 5).

The more expensive the ship I put at risk the greater the adrenaline rush.

I remember the first time I accidentally attacked someone that stole from my mission wrecks while flying my fresh out of the box golem. Pure Adrenaline rush, couldn't hear a thing other than the frantic beating of my heart and the blood rushing through my veins, most fun I had in years... I lost ofc. As I had a PVE ship and he a PVP ship prepped to take on Marauders and the like.

Luckily for me the guy honored his ransom. Big smile

Which brings me to my next point.

Player interaction & economy.

Be it on the market looking for stuff I might have that other people want to buy, or buying myself, or wardecing another corp and harrassing them until they pay us off or hire an experienced merc corp to turn the tables. Or just plain old local smack talk and chatting with my corp mates.

Just plain fun.

Blackmailing, robbery, scamming, lotteries, tournaments (and betting on the winners)...

Granted I don't do half of that stuff, but someho it feels good to know that someday at some point I COULD do it if I wanted to. :)

How many other games offer that kind of possibilities? Big smile

I think we need more options in terms of tats... personally i vote for a tat with a picture of a unicorn and pinkish circle that's fading out around it.

I like the idea of corp logos as tats - that can't be removed so as you move corps you can see your history on your arm

The possibility of being able to spin my ship in a station is what brought me to Eve in the first place. But now I'm flying an Avatar, I kind-of have to spin the entire Universe, rather than just the ship. Crusher is having a hell of a time in the medical bay; we're up to our knees in sick.

By the way I think I read somewhere the summer expansion was going live this 23rd, is it delayed or CCP is changing from summer expansion to Autumn expansion?
