I'm in a one man corp...

Sitting in a C3 LS large pos that is fairly will defended. Wondering if adding a few labs or equipment to build a capital would spawn interest from visitors to attack/grief my little home.

It's been fairly quiet for the past few months... What should I do?

Sounds like a job for the almighty Dickstar, when in doubt, make it as big a pain to take it down as possible.

TriStar. Set up everything. Only have the ECM online and have everything else anchored so that inthe unluikly event someone does seige it you can online other stuff and go to a death star then resist star when it gets really desperate.

What he said

Fit as much ECM of every type with no guns or resistances online.

When they kill the ECM fire up the guns and shoot them.

When they kill the guns bump your resistances to 95% and evac :P

The capital will not interest them if its inside of a ship maintenance array.

It will interest anyone who sees it running sites.

Learn how to close wormholes with an orca safely if your living alone.

Also a C3 only puts out 2 billion isk worth of sites a MONTH so your not going to be making much.

I run a c3 solo myself with multiple alts and can only confirm all the above as being excellent advice. Online as much ECM as possible, but anchor a bunch of guns and shield hardeners so they are ready to go if necessary.

Go ahead and build your capital... I have a carrier I built just because I could. Don't use it much but it's fun to be "queen of the lake" knowing no one else can field a capital in your WH, (unless they build one). Once you learn to collapse k162's and identify your static BEFORE you get it to 100% scan and warp to it you are golden. Safer than high sec! Just watch for any new WH spawns. In some ways, it's so ridiculously safe to farm a locked down WH that the honest decent part of me thinks CCP should nerf this somehow... but then the greedy isk whoring side of me slaps the other side of me and keeps raking in the isk.

I make way more than this a month because I squeeze every last isk out of my WH that is has to offer... mining/gas and most importantly PI... get into PI and when you're out of anoms you can keep the PI ticking over while they re-spawn. Now this all sounds like hell for a lot of eve pvp players but if you are making the decision to be a solo player you can pretty much forget pvp apart form the occasional lucky gank. Most of the time you are going to be carebearing it up and raking in the isk. :) For me the challenge of making enough isk per month to pay for fuel and plex multiple accounts and keep a POS running solo with all that entails is what floats my boat :-)

I also run a solo C3 and can confirm what Jon has said, although I've found quite a number of PvP opportunities from wandering holes that open, you just have to be feeling adventerous.

Other than PI, I also like to manufacture, do some T2 invention/production as well as T3 research. All these modules can be online simultaneously, you just need to have a lot of defense/resists anchored.

I personally keep a pair of webs, scrams, disruptors and 2 neut batteries online along with some ECM and a few guns (if you add a lot of production arrays, you'll find yourself short on CPU but with an abundence of powergrid, so you might as well online the guns which are PG only).

You can clear a lot more than 2B a month, especially if you farm wandering holes.

I myself (ok, my alt) have done the large corp/Alliance 0.0 thing and lived in almost all regions. While it was fun having friends and I didn't mind getting booted back to empire when someone with a bigger stick came along.... I don't miss the political aspect of it. Nor do I miss being pissed that the alliance controls the r64 moons or what it is that I consider progress (Isk collection?) in the game. I make enough for fuel and to progress in my goals. I also make enough to loose a few ships or a hauler full of loot to day trippers.

I want to exploit my WH to the fullest without attracting attention. I agree that nothing I do can stop someone else from taking it all. I'm ready to move on when the time comes. To be honest, after setup of my 5 alts for PI, running sites is getting a bit boring.
