Audit containers need a timer and more logic applied

Found this thread which didn't get much attention: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=113437

The current system with audit containers is rather unreasonable. You cannot repackage them for 21 days which in itself is quite shady.

Moving past that, there is no timer letting you know how long it has until it can be repackaged.

To make matters worse, apparently even checking the log will reset this timer.

And you guys wonder why EVE is universally known for having the worst user interface in gaming, lol.

+1, this is a real non-sense that this issue is still around, i got i don't even know how many empty containers all over new eden for that only reason.

pretty sure the database would gain sensitive weight just by fixing this.....(cause yes, any unpackaged item == 1 entry in the DB, try to guess how many containers are left over empty because of this!)

Just wrote a thread about what a grat disappointment the container management thing is
https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=278291&find=unread
and now one more thing adds to it that makes me dump the whole thing. I just bought several station containers and want to move to a different station, and now realize I cannot take my station containers with me.
(At least the station containers don't seem to be that expensive.)

Again and again I am amazed at how messed up MMOs can be many years after their beginning.

It seems the database server are really bored and asked for the added load of having all of one's items in one big inventory space, touched with every action.

At least I can re-use the non-station containers. Up to a certain size, there are very expensive containers available that do not pose that audit log problem, because they are available with or without the functionality. No idea why the station containers are only available with audit log.
