hey guys (and girls),

i recently joined FW. great fun, great pvp. I usually fly frigs, incursus being my main toy.
but i have some headaches when it comes to them.

although they tank like hell (especially the dual rep incursus - i even combined AAR and normal T2 AR) for max rep amount,
they are SLOOOOW. and blaster fitted they have NO RANGE.

fitting an MWD does not work because of CPU / PWgrid,
dual repped i have to omit the web.

to make long things short: is there any way to deal with the pesky kiters ?

feels kinda dumb to be able to outtank any kiter (solo ofc) but never being able to catch / hit them at all...

thx in advance

I prefer rail fits actually for the Incursus, scramkite at 7-9k at win game.

[Incursus, Rail]
200mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Pseudoelectron Containment Field I
Small Ancillary Armor Repairer, Nanite Repair Paste

1MN Afterburner II
Faint Epsilon Warp Scrambler I
Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I

125mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S
125mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S
125mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge S

Small Hybrid Locus Coordinator I
Small Hybrid Locus Coordinator I
Small Hybrid Burst Aerator I

Warrior II x1

Thats the fit I generally run.

The Incursus is actually pretty fast now but will slow down if you fit a plate. You may be better off with the single rep 125mm rail incursus. Shoot iron to drive off those pesky TD kiters.

Dual rep Incursus look sexy in EFT but if you die to one it's because you messed up somewhere. 125mm rail incursus has a much better target menu.

That man is the noblest creature may be inferred from the fact that no other creature has contested his claim.

Solo single rep also works with blasters.

Dual rep i'm kinda meh about for solo pvp. Easy enough for the other guys to just warp off if they keep their head straight, though sometimes the silly dps you do doesn't give them a chance to burn out.

Also nice in gangs under 3.

But really where it stands out to me is as a cruiser/bc tackler. Since most mwd fit not having a web doens't kill you; and you can tank for quite awhile.

Don't mix buffer and active tanking.

In most cases, this fit is an exception to the rule.

Good info here

Garv knows and understands the incursus, listen to what he says.

"Don't mix buffer/active" is like "Don't mix guns" its a good rule of thumb for people who don't understand the mechanics of the game at all but they both have dozens and dozens of exceptions (Also they are really missunderstood.. People seem to think that you can't mix different kinds of for example medium blasters.. When there is absolutely no reason why you wouldn't do that)

Rail Incursus is the best t1 AB brawler in my opinion (And my opinion is correct).

AB dual rep is a shitfit that will just get you killed over and over again.

MWD dual rep however is a fun ship for kiter hunting that requires quite a lot of player skill to use well
Trouserdeagle made a great one
