I seriously doubt this will tie directly into TQ. For one, it'd make TQ melt trying to keep up with the update rate that's needed.

What's more likely is something like Dust, where the Valkyrie players are off in their own matches, and what they do can have an affect on the main world.

Such as Faction Warfare. Fly for one of the Empires, against the other, improving your rank, possibly getting better gear as you do so, and so on.

Throw in some PvE and you'll have a near perfect game. Can you imagine an X-Wing/Tie Fighter style single player/Coop option?

It doesn't need to be FTP, or subscription based. It /could/ quite easily be a AAA priced release, with DLC for additional content. There's decent money there.The fighter sim market's been kinda bare of late. This could be incredible.

I have a feeling Sony has started to circle.....

and i have a feeling this is only gonna be good.

Timeline..... Occulus Rift Dev Releases...... CCP certainly the first to output a 'proper' demo of a game....... It was Good.... for some reason (hey 3D in Real 3D, baffles me why) John Carmack goes for it big style..... Occulus have always done it right from the start with API........ Valkyrie - a slated game - a real slated game..... and in the background.......

Shoot me, i deserve it.

That'll probably get me buying an Oculus Rift, unless they mess up the gameplay and feeling they already had right when the demo/protoype was shown at Fanfest.

Where it up to me, making an attempt at awesome, I would keep the twitch-dogfighters on their own server to spare the Eve server nodes from TD, but I would pipe telemetry from the EVR server to the Eve node so that we see what the fighters are doing, where they are, etc.

Bring back DEEEEP Space!

It would be nice to know how many CCP resources will be ate up to bring this game to market and what it means to EVE. Can CCP share their plan on how they intend to make this game, EVE, Dust514, and WoD - without draining valuable time and resources from further development of EVE? It's not like we've gotten any great game play expansions in the last 2 years - so what can we expect in the next couple?

I don't care. This is awesome. How hard can it be? This could be Freelancer in EvE! DUST blows b/c there are so. many. danm. awesome. shooters. There are better games to play, and the slaves of CCP Shanghai can't get it done at all. ...but atmospheric flight space fighter games? Nothing. It's been a barren wasteland of nothingness since Freelancer mods. Black Prophecy died a horrible death (because it sucked), Jumpgate Evolution vaporwareized. Just nada. This is fertile ground for Valkyrie to ride on... and they are releasing it BEFORE Star Citizen comes out by a good margin I would imagine (think it's pushed back to the end of 2015). It's going to be fun, I think... and its the perfect excuse to get Oculus Rift gear. If it can make it to TQ before Star Citizen hits, CCP is going to guarantee the next 10 years of EvE methinks. Even for bittervets this is pretty rad news. As usual we'll see, but the Devs are pumped to work on it, and I'm pumped to play it. That's always a good combination.

Looks good props to ppl that got it from demo to real deal they deserve it.

Hope PVE or team raids will be there from get go simple match making isn't something that can keep me amused .

I could have been shut, but i felt the need to say something about this general tendence, do you think we are idiots or golden sheeps to farm? lol. Well not all, surely, like this thread shows, you have found many, congrats on eve future and milking cows.
Try to listen from who really care about this game instead of thinking about money, muting or deleting posts like this one i gues heh?

EvE's expansions have been top notch lately, and this is a very exciting addition to their portfolio.
