Good evening everybody.

Today i will be starting a small two week project looking into exactly how generous the people of eve online are towards noobies.

Basically i am a simple beggar! i am asking for anybody who plays this game to donate to me isk/items anything that you want! I will be blogging the progress of the project on this blog:

SIMPLE BEGGARS BLOG!

After the two weeks i will do free lotterys and giveaways :)

I will be logged into simple beggar for most of the day today and i shall be in jita 4-4 ofc :) so throw me a chat if you feel like it or throw me a mail =] .

I will be doing running counts of which alliance is the most generous/ which corp is the most generous/ which individual person is the most generous.

If you are donating on behalf of a corp or alliance make sure you put the corp/alliances name in the reason or just mail me if you are donating an item.

So eve online, how generous are you? :Smile

day 0 balance: 102005000 isk! :D

UPDATE! 17:06 eve time! I have had the first two donations and what i did not reveal in the thread is i had two hidden prizes for the first two people who donated.

Theese two people are :
Donald macrury
rob popevocchi
Theese two people will now recieve 5% each of the final amount =]

There will be a prize for the biggest donator also who right now is: rob popevocchi with a donation of 100m

I'm pretty sure begging threads are not allowed in the forums, but good luck.

I think people would be more generous to a real beginner in EVE as opposed to a "Simple beggar".

I disagree

If you weren't a brand new alt created to do solely this, I might consider paying attention.

How is this a project? What is the purpose? What are you going to do with the "results" of this project? Where is the research behind it, the methodology? This "project" is a farce for you to gain as much as you can in two weeks to fund a plex for either yourself or your main. Disgusting.

And don't say "to find out how generous people are" which is completely arbitrary. What if someone who has only 50 million donates 45 million. Would he be less generous than someone who has 500 billion donates 100 million?

the idea of this project was to see as a community how much eve online players would be willing to part with to a new player of the game. Unfortunatly it seems people on here are more inclined to send hate mail than even give constructive critisism

ALL the isk is now returned back to the people that donated, ccp you can lock this if you wish :)

The problem is, even if you legitimately were doing that, its been done both as a scam and not hundreds of times before, and you had nothing beside a blog post on a new blog to show what you were doing. There was no indication of any automation, or league tables or anything that would make it interesting. It just came across as an alt asking for isk.
You are also a brand new character, yet clearly have some knowledge as you wouldn't have found your way to Jita 4-4 or even known what it was commonly called if you were actually a day old player.

From experience, +1.
Your account should be at least a year old before being allowed to buy a plex,
