Caldari / Minmatar Pirate Faction

Its time CCP release a Caldari / Minmatar Pirate Faction and their Pirate Faction Ships.

Here is my idea for the Frigate just to give you an idea.

[Ship Name] - I was thinking "Recluse"

Role Bonus: 100% bonus to Light Missile and Rocket Damage

Caldari Frigate Bonus: 5% bonus to Light Missile and Rocket Damage per level
Minmatar Frigate Bonus: 20% bonus range to Stasis Webifiers per level

Slot layout: 2H, 4M, 4L, 3 Rigs; 0 turrets, 2 launchers
Fittings: 47 PWG, 220 CPU, 350 Calibration
Defense (shields / armor / hull) : 875 / 700 / 700
Capacitor (amount / recharge rate / cap/s) : 325 / 150s / 2.16/s
Mobility (max velocity / agility / mass / align time): 320 / 3.1 / 1081000 / 4.65s
Drones (bandwidth / bay): 0 / 0
Targeting (max targeting range / Scan Resolution / Max Locked targets): 45km / 600 / 5
Sensor strength: 15 Gravimetric
Signature radius: 40m

Example Fit:
H: x2 Light Missile Launcher II or Rocket Launcher II
M: x1 Limited 1MN MicroWarpdrive, x1 Warp Disruptor II, x1 Caldari Navy Stasis Webifier, x1 Medium Shield Extender II
L: x1 Damage Control, x2 Balistic Control II, x1 Nanofiber Internal Structure II
Rigs: x1 Small Capacitor Control Circuit I, x1 Small Warhead Calefaction Catalyst I, x1 Small Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I

Why?
Other than to give you the perfect ship for your play style that does exactly what you want it to.

What role does this new pirate group fufill in EVE, in terms of a group.
What do they add to the world.

I'd rather see the existing crosses rounded out before throwing new hybrids into the mix. By this I mean we have two for Gallente/Minmattar but only one for Caldari/Gallente, Amarr/Caldari, and Amarr/Minmattar.

and 0 for amarr/gallente or minmatar/caldari where as because they are enemies the chance of ppl deserting from their military and forming pirate groups may be higher. But im with u too that 2 gallente/minmattar factions r to much. Maybe modify the story and skills for the angels to be minmatar/caldari that would leave one combo (of armor tanker) open.

I always thought a splinter faction of Mordu's Legion would be a pretty good base for a Minmatar/Caldari Hybrid faction.
As it stands there is'nt really a pirate faction aimed at missile pilots (apart from Gurista ships, but they are more drone boats with a simple missile bonus tacked on)
I like the idea of a gank heavy ship-line, get in, hold them down and pound them to dust. A primary bonus to missiles and webs could achieve this very well.

Exactly and the design i proposed doesn't have that good a tank, so its not a broken setup, the light missiles are throwing out roughly 1k alpha strike in that fit, a kestrel can put out the same alpha with 4 launchers, i didn't want to make it anymore than that because of the web bonus otherwise it would be tipping on the borderline of a borken ship.

As for those who think I post this as a preference to my play style, its half true, but there is no kitting ship in the pirate ship faction line up, the dramiel and cynabal dont count because they are a mid range fighter while the rest are close range brawlers, there is nothing in the kiting style, hence why i came up with this and the bonuses are not out of place for the races.

Yet again though, you are simply proposing adding ships with shiny bonuses to the mix. When we already have masses of ships needing constant balance work.
If you want to add a faction, it needs to contribute something to the EVE Universe rather than 'Yet another pirate faction with red crosses to shoot & shiny ships to get BPC's for'. How does it fit in, why has it only risen now, what is the lore behind it. Otherwise it's just about fat loot.

I agree with you there, no poing adding something just for the sake of something new.

However off the top of my head I could adapt my previous idea of having a splinter cell Mordu's Legion: maybe an upcoming member has a different idea how the Legion should be run, so he creates a splinter group with the goal of making isk anyway they can, perhaps one of those ways has something to do with bounties? (just throwing around ideas, there are many directions that this could go) maybe like locator agents for missions, find a person, engage them with the aid of NPCs or something, successful kill results in a payout, if the target survives and destroys its hunters, maybe there is faction loot in store for them.

Granted that would need a lot of ironing out (and need to be worded better) but its and idea, to be considered or thrown away.
