Looking for a setup costing around 2bil to build on mods.

Ive heard alot of good news from a medium shield boosting setup that boosts around 530 shields per cycle so it is interesting, but i would like other opinions on setups.

Missions typically are Blood and Sansha some Guristas.

Intial Setup I have used is as follows (Taken From BC)

[Tengu, tengu lvl 4]
Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System
Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System
Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System
Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System

Dread Guristas Invulnerability Field
Dread Guristas Photon Scattering Field
Caldari Navy Shield Boost Amplifier
Caldari Navy Shield Boost Amplifier
Caldari Navy Shield Boost Amplifier
Pithum C-Type Medium Shield Booster

Heavy Missile Launcher II, Thunderbolt Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Thunderbolt Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Thunderbolt Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Thunderbolt Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Thunderbolt Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Thunderbolt Heavy Missile

Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I
Medium Semiconductor Memory Cell II
Medium Semiconductor Memory Cell II

Tengu Defensive - Amplification Node
Tengu Electronics - Dissolution Sequencer
Tengu Propulsion - Fuel Catalyst
Tengu Offensive - Accelerated Ejection Bay
Tengu Engineering - Augmented Capacitor Reservoir

I would appreciate any advice on a repping setup or suggestions on a passive tank setup.

Thankyou.

Tengu for L4's can't be passive.

What's wrong with setup u've posted:
No AB. Tengu tanks with AB.
Very bad rigs.
T1 missiles. Use fury's.

Here is sample L4 omni-tanked setup:

And L4 dream setup for all lvl5 skills:

Interesting setups i am going to play around with them, the rigs were just what was on the setup i assume its for cap stability in blood raider missions during nos and neuts.

So you think the AB will help kite the incomming damage fine then. As the setup looks good and the sig is quite small compared to the Golem Big smile

To the OP, as I remember you guys lived at the edge of Fountain a few months ago, so I think a nullsec-PvE setup with a Core 100MN X-type AB with TS/DB web+point and a pith large shield booster would be good for doing lvl4s. No other fancy modules needed, just remember to keep your sig radius down and orbit something at 30km in the center of the arena at full speed (2km/s). If you recognise and kill the web/scram frigs first then you very rarely have to activate the shield booster.

Also, if some nmy comes to system and ppl gang up you don't have to dock for switching ships, other than a few dedicated webbers nothing can catch you. It is a very laid back setup, suitable both for PvP/PvE.
You can earn +10-15% LP with fragile and much more expensive fits. A decision to be made. No, I will not give the exact fitting, play with EFT a bit. GL&HF o/

The 100mn boost set ups will kill your DPS due to subsys choices. They are great for PVP but if you are doing hi sec missioning then they are unnecessary.

AB is life to a T3. Your primary tank is movement so all fits generally have Fuel Catalyst and some form of 10mn AB.

As to the 2bn costs - I think that's not required either. Once you get your hull, subsys, rigs and fits, the only essential faction mods are 3 x CN/DG BCS. A fourth CN BCS is not adding much to your fit compared to a T2 version so skip on that.

The more faction mods you have the more likely you will be ganked in hi sec as you are a flying pinata. Try this as a basic start:

[Tengu, Cheap L4 Missioner T2 Med Boost CN]
Ballistic Control System II
Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System
Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System
Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System

Domination Shield Boost Amplifier
Photon Scattering Field II
Invulnerability Field II
Invulnerability Field II
10MN Afterburner II
Medium Shield Booster II

Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile

Medium Capacitor Control Circuit II
Medium Capacitor Control Circuit II
Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I

Tengu Defensive - Amplification Node
Tengu Electronics - Dissolution Sequencer
Tengu Engineering - Augmented Capacitor Reservoir
Tengu Offensive - Accelerated Ejection Bay
Tengu Propulsion - Fuel Catalyst

633 m/s is your tank - should you get hit you have 348 dps omni boost, 361 vs Bloods.
667 dps to 114km is your gank.

If you upgrade some mods you can change your rigs for rigors to improve your anti-frig DPS which will be your biggest problem. Save the extra 1bn for your back up ship ;)

Edit: The Domination SBA is not essential, you can go T2 but it helps with fitting.

I have a fit saved that worked pretty well, if I remember, I'll eve mail it to you later when I get home. I had some faction mods on it, but they really aren't necessary, the Tengu can tank like no one's business. Seriously, it's hard to screw up with it unless you are just being stupid.
