Hello!

So - I am a rookie... yes! I have had an indy character for around a month... but its a little dull!

Normally that's when most people stop listening to me! Which is a tiny bit of a problem. My aim in eve is to become a Pirate (Yarr it is). I've ventured into low sec a few times... and lost a few pods - which is fine, fireworks are pretty!

Now, I've tried a 'learner Pirate Corps' but the ones I've looked at don't have any members with standings less than 0.0..... which is less than evil. And the second you talk about wanting to become a pirate in rookie chat.. well Roll.

SO the crux of this rookie post - do people have advice for my lowly 200k SP dredlock ridden character? Should I give up a corp and the experience of others until I am more aged? Should I just head into low sec (and yes I have talked to the people that incinerated me) and get blown up a lot more (which is fine - like I said fireworks are pretty).

I would really enjoy some fellow pod smushers to fly with - but nobody seems to interested!

Advice/mockery is welcome!

Train for frigates and destroyers that dont use drones, this way you can focus your SP and get into a more specialized role quicker, use youtube and google for researching

My first 'pirate' character used a dps thrasher, no tank, no worries - you can also train a destroyer suicide ganking character within 6 days but you'll need a team to work with, you know, scanners, haulers, warpins, bumps

then go make a mess of EvE
