Did the Ice Interdiction Start?

Hi yall,

So the Goonswarm Ice Interdiction was supposed to start 2 days ago, as posted here: http://themittani.com/news/cfc-announces-caldari-ice-interdiction

Apparently, Goonswarm is going to launch a massive Ice belt ganking operation focused specifically on the ice used to make nitrogen isotopes.

Yet, I have not seen any market trend indicating that an ice interdiction has begun.

So I'm wondering, did they call it off? Or were they just not nearly as effective as they made it sound like they would be?
Or has the interdiction truly begun, and the market has yet to be effected by it?

Goonswarm isn't raising ice prices fast enough. Failure after two days.

Already in progress, and nitropes have been steadily gaining price since well over a month ago when the first "rumours" hit the grapevine. Since the fun is just beginning, you can probably expect even more upward trends on Caldari ice and it's worth remembing that White Glaze was at much higher prices 14 months ago. Enjoy. Pirate

NitroNopin is running since August 1st.
112 B ISK killed so far with the majority in the last two days.
They are picking up speed but could gank many of the orcas with just half of the Catas they are wasting.
Edit: Give it two more weeks and then I am curious on the prices.

We fully support ice miners moving to Amarr space to mine Amarr ice. Or going any mining anywhere other than Caldari space to be honest.

if what I read on a certain website holds true, it seems that the goons have shockingly lost all ganking-talents. Guess, after bashing TEST it's tremendously challenging to gank some miners. At least I'd have expected them to gank this Goblin dude.

Why would they gank Gevlon?
He was in a 10m procurer, the lowest efficiency, tanked barge. He undoubtedly had insurance, and even if he didn't, hes got enough isk to cover the loss. On top of that, he's not even a miner.
The whole point of the interdiction is to slow down actual mining. Which means the best targets are in order:
Orcas, as they support many miners and the loss can be crippling to smaller corps. The pods often have expensive implants to boost further
Freighters loaded with ice. Spending hours mining means nothing if your freighter gets dropped before delivery.
Exhumers. Insurance payout on a T2 means that it hits harder as you don't get a very good payout.
Mining Barges.

So yeah... a non miner with plenty of isk "mining" in a procurer is hardly a target. Let's see him mouthing off while flying an orca and see how far he gets without staying perma aligned.

Oh, and nearly nothing you will read on Gevlons site is true. He basically is saying "Because they chose not to gank me, this is proof that goons can't gank". Check out the killboards if you think goons can't gank, or ask one of the many pilots that were ragequitting last night over being ganked, or even just look at the steadily rising price of nitrogen isotopes.

Yeah, but he wants to be ganked. That way he can screenshot it and post about it, and show how goons buckled to his words. When he's willing to man up an put some actual assets on the line, he can command a kill from us. Until then, his procurer can remain in the field picking up his maximum of 58 ice blocks (17.8m) per hour.

I keep two alts in two different systems with white glaze belts for certain purposes and I notice that these Caldari belts still get mined out.

When I poke in the belt themselves around there is still plenty of people mining.

So its not like this has actually stopped ice from being mined.
