At the moment, you can sort your overview tab by clicking the column heading, and it will sort A-Z, and the clicking it again will sort it Z-A. However, when you change tabs this sort order is preserved.

For example, I have two overview tabs, one with all the different ship types, and nothing else, and one for mining with asteroids and nothing else. I'm looking at my asteroids sorted by name (so I mine all the same type), and a large group of enemies warp in, and I want to know how far away they are from me, and which is closest. At the moment, I'd have to click the 'distance' column to sort it before being able to find this out, but when I go back to my asteroids they are now sorted by distance, not name.

My proposal, have the column sort order kept independent for each overview tab.

Another possibility is having columns for each tab independent so the columns are part of the 'overview profile.'
