Proof or didn't happen.

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

That's something I've been wondering actually, can you pretend to sell a character to fool people or is that not allowed

Rules say nothing about ACTUALLY selling the character to yourself.

Self: "Here self, I will pay you 20bil for alt #1"
Self: "Why thank you sir!"

It would just cost you two plexes.

Edit: And of course you would need two accounts, if that's not already obvious.

Sorry mr. ISD man, but, since you could argue that selling a character to yourself is in no way a scam, your post didnt answer anything. Now that this has gotten my interest though, I would like a more thorough answer to that particular question.

On-topic of if you can sell to yourself.. I dont see why not, and since it would actually cost a PLEX, I dont think CCP would mind.

There is a different between selling your character and pretending to everyone you sold it.

I don't see anything proving the character actually exchanged hands, only CCP can tell for sure.

If I recall pretending you are the original owner of a sold toon is prohibited, so why not pretending you aren'tQuestion

As long as CCP receives the revenue from a couple of PLEX, I don't think they particularly give a toss whether you sold a character to yourself or otherwise.
