Eve's Apex predators ?

High-sec griefers like to paint themselves as the top predators of EVE, however they only weaken their victims making them more like parasites and are themselves subject to predation by others.

So, who are the true apex predators of EVE ?

But, like a parasite, they know that if they completely kill of its host they will die too!

The true apex predator is Concord in High Sec, -10s in low sec and NPC null, and whoever owns the system in null sec

Nullsec solo/really small gang pvp'ers. Currently near extinct.

Take any large alliance full of semi-nub blues plexing billions together right and left, then introduce a few good ninjaing BS/BC solo/tinygang pvp'ers into their home region and watch alliance chat go :******:

Essentially, eve's version of terrorists/guerilias are the real apex. Afaic at least

What makes you think that it is predation that gets you to the apex in EVE?

the "apex of eve" is such a generalized statements. There are many avenues of achievement each with its own philosophical idea of apex.


  • Traders; Make as much isk as possible.
  • Logistics; Create the most efficient way possible.
  • PVP; Attain the greatest isk/kill ratios possible.
  • PVE; Build the strongest ratting boat possible.

Your small gangs are more like packs of scavenging dogs or hyenas. Sure you can catch small prey and antagonise the bigger beasties, but you're no real threat to them. The big alliances are the real apex predators, they've no real threats to their survival other than other big alliances.

High sec griefers are comparable to jackals, so not them. Apex predators don't die when they kill so that eliminates suicide gankers.

Probably anyone who solo pvps in null and makes a profit.

Wrong. No individual player in Eve can ultimatley be turned into a victim other then by his/her own choice: quictting the game.
Alliances however, rise and fall, mostly on the tide we like to call "drama". To me the persons best at causing said drama are at the apex of predation in Eve.

Nah, it's only the lazy carebears who think that hisec griefers are the top predators of Eve. Everybody else knows how to use the tools CCP gave us in game to deal with them.

Im an Apex Pver

I cannot get anymore dps out of my boat and i have it fitted with mods enough that im one of the fastest mission runners in the game without being needlessly gankable (officer fit).

thats one version of an Apex predator.

Isk just ***** in my lap at an incredible rate.



As for pvp Apex predators. Please dont get the 14 year olds fapping as they describe themselves
I dont normally troll, but when i do i do it on General Discussion.

I dont think there really such a thing. All of eve combat is for the most part the same.

1. Empire war. You camp systems, track down mission runners, fight on stations.

2. Low sec. You camp systems, track down mission runners, fight on stations.

3. Null sec. You camp systems, track down Npcers, fight on stations, cloak.

4. Suicide. You camp systems, use alt to scan and pick target. Shoot it.

bahaha, highsec griefers are a lot more like scum building up on the side of a fish tank than apex predators. they are bottom feeders, preying only on the weak and stupid.
