Hi guys could you recommend a fit for a mammoth used primely in high sec with the odd trip to low sec to resupply my main?

Lows : cargo expanders

Meds : 10MN Afterburner + whatever

Highs : who cares ?

For high sec work, be aware that if someone wants to gank you, there's almost nothing you can do in a Tech 1 industrial : they don't have the HPs, resists, or slots to fit a correct tank.

For low sec resupplying, you'd be better served with a Blockade Runner with a Covert Ops Cloak on it, again expanders in the lows, and whatever you fancy in the mids.

The trick with those is to never be seen ... if the hostiles can't see you, they can't lock you, and you're basically safe ... 'hot' moments will be when you undock from a station, the cloak cannot engage withing 2000 meters of a structure/ship.

It is cheap (12m ISKs) and can tank a little to burn back to a gate. Only use the ECM Burst when you get tackled while trying to warp and as a last resort or else will the PvP timer prevent you from jumping.

Use the two fittings to create your own. Tools such as EFT and PYFA help you with fitting and can also tell you what it will cost.

You should not ever use a mammoth for lowsec at all. for HS don't go to Jita or Amarr in a tech one hauler. It only takes like 12 hours to train for an Itty now, use an itty. All expanders/expander rigs and omni tank the mids.

There are better options for low sec ship resupply(at least till the ccp allows the prowler to reach 10k cargo). With minmatar indi 4 it can move a cruiser, with 5 even a BC + fitting, get enough cap to mange most jumps in one go and you can fit enough tank to not pop if you run into a smart bomb BS. Keep in mind that you should have insta undocks for the stations, since it takes ages to turn around in this fitting, compared to a real blockade runner.

Yes because it makes the difference between a hauler than can move BCs + fitting and a hauler that can't. If you want it cheap, you can use a T2 RCU and another cargo rig, but that drops the fitting under 15k m³(what is quite a bit less awesome for a mwd + cloak fitted hauler that is smart bomb BS prove on top of it).

If you want a mostly tanky hauler with the MWD cloak trick, I made this in EFT with "all Vs" skills :

I still think that for hisec work, you need max cargo capacity and the rest is icing on the cake with insta bookmark, but here goes.

The Badger MK1 would do the same thing better, with the next update. With the changes to the haulers, coming in 1.1 every race gets one hauler that can be fitted for max cargo(Badger MK2 in case of caldari) and one that gets a lot more power grid to fit a tank, prop mods or other stuff. While they archive less cargo in a full cargo fitting, they are better in survivable travel fittings, since they got more hit points, warp/align quicker and they need less fitting mods(if any).
