The focus of this overview is on official news from CCP: For example, dev blogs and important forum posts by CCP developers, the ever evolving background story and upcoming events. • CSM8 Town Hall #2: August 17 1900 EVE
CSM8 Town Hall #2 will take place Saturday August 17, at 1900 EVE time. The focus of this Town Hall will be the upcoming summit, EVE Odyssey 1.1 changes and much more. The Town Hall will last for one hour and every interested player is welcome to attend!


• EVElopedia updates with Single Sign On and Item Database update
The EVElopedia was improved with Single Sign On, soft- and hardware upgrades and a new item database so that it is better than ever.


• Odyssey 1.1 available for testing on Singularity
EVE Odyssey 1.1, our summer point release with many exciting balancing changes and upgrades, is now available on our public test server Singularity. CCP Habakuk, Senior Quality Assurance Analyst, has set up a general feedback thread, an excellent overview of coming features and improvements, and a bug reporting thread. We welcome everyone to test Odyssey 1.1!


• Odyssey 1.1 - Radial Menu, Drone and few other UI changes
CCP karkur introduces interesting and good improvements to the Radial Menu and other user interface changes including the drone UI. These changes, and possibly more, will be introduced with EVE Odyssey 1.1.


• Odyssey 1.1 - Clarification on Rorqual warfare link usage inside POS shields
Using siege links on a Rorqual inside a POS shield will become impossible with Odyssey 1.1. Using mining links will be still possible inside POS shields.


• Weapon timers for warfare links are not introduced with EVE Odyssey 1.1
CCP Fozzie confirms that also with our next release, Odyssey 1.1, the activation of warefare links will not start any weapon timers.


• Sleeve tattoo fix by CCP karkur
CCP karkur fixed in a heroic effort all invalid sleeve tattoos. Sleeve tattoos are bonus items exclusively available by pre-purchasing the EVE: The Second Collector's Edition.


• Explanations about the Buddy program rewards
CCP Sunset explains in her post the availibility of Buddy program rewards. We have further information about the Buddy program and rewards, check it out!


• What are capsuleers breathing inside their pods?
If you have ever wondered how and what you might breathe inside your capsule, CCP Falcon has the answer! The capsule fluid it an oxygen rich, nano-saturated breathable glucose based suspension solution.


• AT XI Ehibition Match - Red vs Blue
CCP Loxy posted the replay of the exhibition match Red Federation vs. Blue Republic on YouTube. This match was conducted during the Alliance Tournament XI and was run with inverse time dilation resulting in a 3 to 5 time faster flow of time during the match.


• CCP Shadowcat - new German localization developer
CCP Shadowcat, the new German localization associate producer, says hello on the forums. Please give her a nice welcome!

KK stock rises on back of Oiritsuu pledge

Hatakaan Oiritsuu, acting CEO of the Caldari Megacorporation Kaalakiota (KK), has pledged 40% of her personal wealth to the corporation in order to assist in its financial recovery. Oiritsuu supplied Kaalakiota with a no-interest loan which aims to stabilize KK's financial reserves and allow the corporation to be more aggressive in reclaiming lost market shares. This move was applauded by the Mercantile Club and other analysts; KK stock is going strong and still rises.

Sarum Family Heir recommends assault on Republic

Merimeth Sarum has been urging Empress Jamyl I to fully reinstitute the Reclaiming and to begin an immediate assault on the Minmatar...
