You can Google the math, but I just did it the way everyone should- I set out to a DED station and found out for myself. Sadly, I went the opposite direction than I intended and paid twice what I meant to pay instead of going back the other direction LOL.

You have 4 tags, each of which is used to go move from one general range to another. It costs something like 4 of each tag to move in that full 2.5 amount for each tag type. You can select fewer tags of a particular type to move less- it's on a slider, along with descriptions of who can shoot you in what sec level.

I thought initially that the most expensive tags would be the ones that move you from -10 to -7.5, but they are currently more expensive for the moves closer toward 0, which makes sense in hindsight.

As for the actual cost in addition to the tags, I completely forget, but wasn't too much. I think overall I paid around 500m (at inflated tag prices) to move from like -4 to -0.6, or something like that. I should have paid closer to 250m if I was thinking ahead better.

It's not cheap, but can be worth it depending on your needs. For instance, I was getting tackled and blown up by the cops in Jita in my stealth bomber immediately after hitting the warp button. For me, was totally worth paying the cost, as i did not want to undock in my pricey pod on a regular basis to undock in Jita.

I was unfairly awarded a low security status for podding illegal miners in highsec. I think anyone podding an illegal miner should be immune from these security status drops LOL.
