So say a new player (me) wants to go about in this new area of space,
I don't have a massive budget, my skills are terrible, i can't pilot many things.
Where do i start?
What would be some helpful things to know?
Are there any newb friendly WH corps where i can go to gain some like minded friends?

Fire everything at me. Advice, trolls abuse, whatever. I'm keen for it and a point in the right direction would be real helpful

Cheers in advance!

Do I have advice? not what has already been written and is at your disposal in this very sub forum.

My opinion though. W-space best space

I'd suggest joining a corp that already sits in a WH. While it might be possible to start your own WH operation (or just do day trips) the folks who have been in there for an extended time will certainly tell you more things than any web site.
Or they'll mercilessly gank you, but, well, this is EVE.

Find an established corp in W-space that already has a system setup.

Make sure you can fly a covert ops ship with astronomic skills to level 3/4. This is essential in being able to navigate around and make money.

Start the day off slow and taper off from there.

I am super hot for this link and whole heartedly approve of it. Also, as a reminder to any new players out there, if you post questions in that FAQ that I haven't answered, I WILL find an answer for you, and maybe include it in the list for others in the future.

Paragraph 33. cought my eye:
"33. Carriers can get into C4s, but not easily and only from a nullsec or incoming link from a C5 or C6. "

Is this true?

Nope. Wormhole connections use the lowest denominator. For example a c1 that has a c6 connection or null sec connection can still not accept anything bigger than a battle cruiser.

However you will see capital ships in a c1-c4 as they can be constructed inside. This also means they can't get out (intact).
