Ironically, the only person I ever gave an unsecured loan to was a Goon. He wanted 30 million ISK to start a planetary industry loop. He paid me back 40m ISK a month later, and I only had to ask him once. I felt so shocked by the fact that I found an honest Goon that I almost wrote a thread about it. I guess to be honest 30m ISK is such a small amount I'd probably give out a couple of unsecured 30m ISK loans to people I knew. Anyone who wanted more (or who I didn't know) would have to provide collateral. I'd have to work out interest rates, too.

Fast forward five years and I'd have hundreds of billions of other people's ISK and I'd be making dodgy speculations with it on market trends I didn't really understand, then I'd lose it all and the market would collapse. Then I'd dust off my hands, say "job well done" and pay myself a massive bonus with money that didn't belong to me.

They say art imitates life. EVE made that statement take on a depressing reality.

If you really need isk, you can ask Erotica 1. She's the only legit isk doubler in this game. Or you could buy 2 plex, send them to me as collateral and i will give the 400m loan you're asking.

I'll loan you 400mil for 800mil in collateral.

If you cannot make a new start without first asking for a loan then you are doing it wrong.

Buy a PLEX like everyone else. You make CCP happy and the one who buys it off of you.

Try asking the Angel Project if you still think you have to. Not sure if the project is still around, but it is a charity and they give out PLEX and ships for players in need.

Claiming that a day 1 female character is your new main and asking for a "loan" of 400m? Because you want to join a corp that you didn't name that asks for 400m collateral? And you claim you could "easily buy a PLEX" but you're asking for the 400m because you need the ISK "now" ??

Yes I would happily accept Loans.

Anybody can loan me what ever amount they choose (so long as its domination's of 100mil) and I promise, Cross my heart and hope to be spanked until my bottom goes purple that it will be spent in a timely fashion :)

Me neither. Anyone asking for a loan without offering a collateral is a beggar.

As noted by others loans in eve don't really work unless both sides totally trust each other.

Otherwise,

1) I have an alt setup a request for a loan.
2) I transfer the loaned isk to my main (on a different account)
3) I don't log in with that alt for "some time"

There's no way to enforce the repayment and that alts name just becomes mud, so I sell it in the bizarre create a new one.
It'd be nice if there were a way to implement this but it's eve and there are far too many ways to get out of paying.

It's why I stopped bothering with ipo's too, nice idea, shame you can't seek revenge when things go rubbish.
