As usual, you're forgetting about the Udorians.

If I desired to illustrate wisdom I would have chosen an aphorism, not a proverb.

The proverb was chosen to summarize my thoughts that one can only trust those who have the same heart, those who have earned that trust - one's family, one's kin, one's comrades and friends. To be too free and open with trust by not having it earned first will always run the risk that that trust will be abused by those who do not have ones own interests at heart but their own.

You were under a cultural threat from the Udorians, not a military one. Their society wasn't anywhere near as backwards, oppressive, dogmatic and socially calcified as yours, and as such was more bearable for people - including your own - to live in. You saw that as a threat and destroyed it. It is very likely that there was no point in history during which the Udorians posed a credible military threat to Amarr Island, because by the time they'd mobilised their military against you, you were already pressing against their borders, rather than vice-versa.

Seriously, Sarum makes noises about Reclaiming and that makes headline news? Must be a really slow time at the news offices at the moment.

When Heirs speak, the galaxy listens. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me either, but that's the way of it.

Indeed it is slow reading at the news offices at the moment. Capsuleer generated "news" is of this sort:

'Diana Kim Terrorizes Galaxy With Kestrel - AAR'

Then you get to read page after page after page of drivel about Kim taking on every empire in New Eden and losing. My body may be immortal but my patience has definite limits.

So be greatful for this news! It was however completely predictable as the Gallente and Caldari have been selfishly stealing headlines lately. The minmatar even got into the news recently by attacking their "ally".

Obviously, the Amarrians were feeling left out of events, (they were), and hence the news release.

So this is good news because we can ponder if anything will happen after the announcement or if it just goes directly to the 'fizzle' stage.

It's either that or we go back to talking about Diana Kim and her Kestrel. Take your pick!

Insanity is not hubris, not pride; it is inflation of the ego to its ultimate - confusion between him who worships and that which is worshipped. Man has not eaten God; God has eaten man.

Something to do with their command of personal fleets, armies and the fact that their insulation from the realities of 'backing up their words' makes said reinforcement of stated 'values' an attractive prospect if it doesn't appear to carry long term political or territorial risk.

Not to say their utterances are worth listening to in and of themselves, but it's a good early warning system if sworn rivals start echoing each other or escalating their claims in response to one another.

It's probably a slow news day because the Minmatars haven't launched an unprovoked assault on anyone for at least a week now.

Honor. Hah.

If the empire somehow overcame the Federation the Empire wouldn't need you anymore. There'd be no friendships, no alliance, no ties that bind.

All the State would be to them is their next meal.

This comment merely shows that you have quite a twisted understanding of friendship, if you only uphold it if you have a need of your friends.

Oh I understand friendship quite well, thank you. I was pointing out how only a fool would believe a society entirely built on the idea of its own superiority and filled with a need to correct any perceived flaws in others could ever be a true ally.

The Empire has no real friends. It's only prioritizing targets.

That's very nice, dear.

However.

The fact such a sentiment was expressed by a Gallente Traitor such as yourself is simply another reminder why the Federation must be destroyed.

The only traitor here is you, scum.

The fact that you call a loyal servant of the State a "traitor" is only evidence that you are, in fact, the traitor. As follows:

1. We know that Gesakaarin shoots at Gallente.
2. We also know that Gesakaarin supports the Caldari militia and the CEP.
3. Therefore, Gesakaarin must be a State loyalist.

On the other hand:

1. You shoot at State militia forces.
2. Shooting at State militia forces aids the Federation.
3. Therefore, you aid the Federation.

Thus:

1. The State is at war with the Federation.
2. You aid the Federation by attempting to kill Caldari militia members.
3. Therefore, you aid the Federation in time of war, also known as treason, and thus should be considered aligned with the Federation.

In conclusion:

The Federation must be destroyed.

Have you been high on gallentean hallucinogens lately, Vikarion, or you just prefer to wallow in utter ignorance and kiss filthy feets of gallentean supporters and dissident scum?!

Fact is, that I never shoot at the State militia forces, unless they act hostile first (under hostile I include being well known awoxer or spy as well).

I see Andreus Ixiris is letting his racial hatred for Amarr people show again.

Well, at least he's just talking, and not offering to join the Blood Raiders this time.

Yay progress.

Lady Dougans, a man, whom are you talking about, is, perhaps, the most stupid, the least polite and the least relevant of anyone I have met in my life yet.

Besides that, he is a proper example of a gallentean mindset. They are racist towards Amarr, they are racist towards Minmatar and they are racist towards Caldari.

Only gallentean society can create abominations like him,
And that's why the Federation must be destroyed.

Oh, that's rich. Louella Dougans and Diana Kim talking about racism and relevance, two topics that both of them have absolutely no moral authority to remonstrance on whatsoever.

There was an Amarrian poet who said "I prayed to God for only one thing - make my enemies ridiculous. God granted it." I don't believe in God, of course, but... the sentiment applies.
