Hello, as a mac user I've been lucky...just had a read of the reported issues, never had anything similar yet. Luckily.
But today...
Since today's DT i cant log in the game anymore, at the beginning the launcher failed starting the game (just had the icon in the dock but no game window at all) and then neither the laucher worked. Tried to log a lot of times, restarting the pc too.
Then I trashed the application, re-installed it, launched it again....nothing changed.
I still have the launcher loading clients (never saw before the "launching" message after hitting the "play" one...wtf is this change?) but no one works.
Got EVE Online client icons in the dock as usual, but got no game windows at all. And the launcher doesnt shut off like before, technically i can launch as many clients as i want now but no use for them.

My OS is 10.8.4
iMac
2.7 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512 MB

The previous launcher was perfect, why did you change it?

...and honestly, i never had to check for the launcher options, i've never explored it at all!!
On this machine i do 3 things: play EVE for most of the time, i use a bit of photoshop and when i really need to i browse the net.
Never touched any settings in any way :(

UPDATE

- just cleared all the possible caches in my pc. Launched the game.
- installed and ran the Mac Repair Tool. Launched the game.
- tried to bypass the launcher opening the app from the "show application package content". Launched the game.

...nothing happens.

The clients i try to open don't show any game window, no character selection page, nothing...only one or two useless EVE Online icons added on the dock. Consequently I force to quit.

If this can help you, I can tell I was waiting for the ONLINE green light to log on immediately after the DT, ran two times the launcher as usual then i saw for the last time the game window, blackened, showing the "a new build is available, do you wish to install it?" message, did it on the first client then I realized the second one was broken, no game window appeared and then also the first client broke. I admit I absolutely have no technical knowledge about programming and codes, maybe my rush logging both clients f*cked it all?

I don't know if this is the same issue, but I also experienced problems yesterday. Pressing "Play", the launcher merely switched to saying "Launching..." and after 10 seconds or so reverted back to "Play". Restarts had no effect.

What solved it for me was switching to a different account. The other account managed to log in just fine, and after switching back, my primary could finally log in as well.

Thanks for the tip Khadem, lucky you it worked again! For me no good news :(
switching user account just opens new Eve icons in the dock (even of the same account) and still no game window.

Finally I managed to get the logs. This is what happens when I start the launcher:

and this is another attempt to log in (shorter system log, dunno why):

Have you tried trashing the EVE Online folder in Application Support? (Note that reinstalling the client will not fix all issues that are due to glitches in the Library/Application Support/EVE Online folder.)

Hi there Vincent, thanks for your suggestion. Found and opened that folder...surprisingly I got no Eve Online folder at all in that location, this should be strange, I'm definitely not a curious geek and I'm not used to browse system folders in any way, so things should be intact and where they should be.
2 days ago i trashed the previous installation of the game simply dragging it in the trash bin, then voiding it from that app as usual...then re-installed it.
Did it wrong?

No, thats the first step in doing a re-install.
There are two "Library" folders. One general one and one in /users/your name/. You need that second one. Its hidden. You can get to it by clicking on the "go" menu item in the finder and folding down the option key (at least in 10.7 that is).

Good!

Now I hope you have not emptied the trash yet, because you most likely noticed that all your settings a gone. Most are easily redone, but the overview can take a long time to reconstruct if, like many, you have made a large number of filters. But if you saved your overview, its in that Application Support folder. Its at:

/Application support/Eve Online/p-drive/User/My documents/EVE/Overview

You can retrieve the Overview folder from the trashed Application support/Eve Online folder and place it in the proper spot in the new Application support folder. Then go into the game and import it, and you got all your overview filters back.

If you did not save your overview, then go ahead and do the work rebuilding the filters. Then save the settings, then go to that folder and make a copy of it someplace safe. Next time you have a glitched Application support disaster you will at least be able to recover your overview.
