How are the pirate missions?

I was curious to see how the pirate missions pay out and rewards were. I'm tired of missioning in high sec.

To be honest, when outside of highsec, I'm more interested in anoms and exploration. I had an alt running missions in serpentis prime for a while (admittedly whilst test held the surrounding space), and there was virtually nobody there running missions, and also nobody preying on the nearly non existent runners. So much so that there was also no real market for basic supplies, in the end I needed to bring ammo bp, and periodically loot for melt to make ammo.

Obviously LP per mission is better as that is tied to security, but have to compare that with time spent safed or docked if there ar e reds or unknown neutrals about.


There are pirate implants and boats on the LP rewards. Some pirate agents obviously have far more valuable such than others.

Thanks man, just was trying to figure out how much id struggle just throwing a pure frigate guy out there. I prolly wouldn't survive a l1 mission through the gate camps and all that.

If you have been doing hi-sec missions, you might have a hard time finding a pirate faction where you can run missions.

You can't do any missions except level 1 missions if you have a faction standing lower then -2, there is no easy way to increase your faction standing with the pirate factions.

I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

You can do the Gurista and Angel Epic Arcs which gives a massive boost to those factions.

Level 4 missions pay in the region of 14500LP. You will have to join one of the local corporations/alliances, otherwise you will have a hard time trying to do anything.

The Social skill Diplomacy can help a bit with this unless a player's standings are seriously in the tank.

The level 1s are reasonably fun anyway considering that in order to complete them you must be aware that you are being hunted constantly and to conduct yourself accordingly. The LP payouts are nice and IMO make doing these worthwhile considering that they can be done in a frigate. However it does help to be blue with the locals of whichever faction you choose to mission for.

If you go to nullsec, doing combat sites is good money, but not a fix income. If you want to do lvl4s in nullsec, you can get pretty decent income out of it, just fly smart, and blitz all the missions you can. And ofc first do some research, which LP worth the most at a given time.

Someone said to me once, Pirate level 3 missions pay like Highsec level 4 mission. Not sure if that is trough though.

There are very few gatecamps tbh. Once you actually get into a pirate region like stain you can mission in relative peace for the lower level agents. The level 4 stations are usually bases for pvp groups though. The pay outs are much better than hi sec missions, but there is little point in doing any pve when fw pays out so much better than anything else.
