no it's about the manhunt for Snowden ;-)

Elysium, a new sci-fi movie from the District 9 maker was released a few days ago.

The plot : "In 2154, two classes of people exist: the wealthy, who live on an advanced space station called Elysium, built by the Armadyne Corporation; and the rest, who live on an overpopulated, ruined Earth. Deciding to preserve the luxurious lifestyle of the citizens of Elysium at all costs, a high-ranking Elysian government minister...."

For me, it's still two days of waiting Sad

Saw it this past weekend.

As an action flick it is well done.

As a film with heavy socio-political over tones, District 9 was done better.

Overall I give it a 3 out of 4 stars.

Of course it's not the least bit ironic that it was filmed in one of the largest rubbish dumps in the world in South America, using the dumps 2500 permanent residents as extras, while all the stars and production team stayed in local 5* hotels, then flew home to the land of plenty.

'Mericans - luv em!

Does anyone else feel there is a sense of irony in this rant as this guy typed this up most likely on his own pc while sitting in his comfy chair, paying the equivalent of a months wage for some people so he can post his complaint on these forums? Anyone?

It was definitely entertaining, but I will say, imo, there are more sci-fi flicks coming out that would be better for sci-fi fans to spend their money to see on the big screen.

P.S. Your avatar gets better with each iteration.
