was playing with EFT and i came up with this for a mish fit (serp version in this case)

highs
4x T2 cruise (T1 ammo t2 imo is too expensive for general missioning)
3x open slots
mids
Gist A type XL booster
2x therm
2x kin
1x cap recharger
1x TP T2
lows
3x Dread gurista BCS
1x cap flux coil
rigs
2x CCC T2

5x hammerheads T2
5x hobgoblins

-cap stable-
this fit is over tanked and that is done intentionally. i find it better to be able to face tank everything than warpout. so overtank it is
now what im having an issue with is the 3 open slots. i have no idea what to put there. id put salvage gear but i dual box with a noctis so that makes it kinda pointless.

Even if you don't salvage a one tractor with 48km range is nice to have to grab mission goal or anything you need.

Small armor/shield repper to keep aggro on you. It didn't work for me but there are people claiming it does and besides being able to actually heal drones never hurts.

Medium NOS to ease cap life.

Drone Link Augmentor for better drone range.

HTH.

P.S. Your claim T2 ammo is too expensive on a Marauder would mean either your skills are terrible or you failed math at elementary school.

You don't need 1500 DPS tank (estimated what your setup tanks) for any level 4 mission, even if you completely screw up on agro.

Enemies abound last part, Worlds collide full aggro in Serpentis room (assuming everyone is in optimal and no one killed yet, Gurista/Serpentis version) or a full triggered Damsel might disagree here, 1500 DPS tank will not be enough then. But yeah, for most stuff even when going AFK for a short while that tank is oversized.

Gank > Tank. Always.

Oh-kay, I'll take a couple of notes from this fit for my own (future) Golem, but seriously ...

Claiming that T2 missiles are too expensive and in the same post going all bling on Deadspace modules ?

WTF man.

T2 Fury cruises are MORE than worth it for BCs and BSes (and some Cruisers too with a TP), and Precision cruises are invaluable for Frigates and Elite Cruisers ...

Also, a cap stable shield-tanked Battleship is either an heresy or a gimped fit ... drop those horrible, horrendous CCC's and stick a pair of Rigor rigs in there, with T2 Cruises you'll roughly double your effective DPS ~> less tank needed ~> more ISK/h ...

...

The choice of mids and lows is something others have already talked about so I won't go into my thoughts on that, instead I'll move straight on to the other considerations...

If you leave the slots empty (or fill them with offline modules (usually large smartbombs)) then you can intersperse them between your launchers to extend your overheat time by a significant margin. This may or may not be of value to you but it is also worth noting that offline modules are not distinguished on fittings lists and so forth and (AFAIK) won't be distinguished in ship scans - which means you should be wary of the possibilities of neutral cov-ops ships in smartbomb range trying to bait you to bomb - you won't do so because the smarties will be offline but that may mean objective theft...etc when their patience runs out.

My personal choice would be Salvager, Tractor and Large Energy Transfer Array... And then get your alt out of the Noctis and into a damage ship.
By transfering between two ships (another Marauder would be ideal) you generate enough cap to avoid the need for yout CFC and Recharger (or at least one of them) and can therefore fit more gank to both ships (or prop if you prefer). Coupled with the doubling of the overall damage by the addition of the second ship you should find missions far faster and more profitable. Salvaging is a little slower but not exceptionally so.
As an alternative putting the alt into a Domi, 'geddon...etc. which has both spare high slots and minimal ammo use and working two bonused tractors on the Golem and a number of unbonused salvagers on the second ship may be more convenient - especially with the drone ships as they can drop drones, assign them to assist and then you can effectively ignore it until it comes to salvaging time.

400 omni with DPS backing it up is enough for ea5 full agro, damsel however would eat the same tank unless you can keep 15km range

but as for the dude who said i have a 1550 dps tank i should tell you i have a full set of HG crystals to back that up. so....yea

what? i said i intentionally over tanked it *innocent face*

I agree on you can ganktank those things, just kill stuff fast enough. I referred to "tanking" them like repping/boosting more than they do to you, and thats clearly not possible with a 1500 DPS tank in either of those (full aggro/full spawns assumed, why ever you might have that situation ....). I never said its reasonable to approach it that way, and agree on gank is more important for efficient mission running. But if you screw up on aggro and do a few more things wrong, those named missions are not the place where you want to be :)
