The development of a forum warrior

I just realized something about myself that i did not like all that much.

It is near the last hours of work. I have exhausted the small pool of new forum posts too read and already checked up on ones i posted on the day before, so i decided too look at some of my earlier posts when i first started forum crawling. They started as you would expect. Little is revealed about myself or I was merely answering a question.

Then my posts get longer as i try too let slip a little more of my personality into my writing, and that method of writing goes on for a few months. THEN SUDDENLY I start too be real snarky and make fun of others or throwing out the classic "were on the _____did _____ touch you" or "can I have your stuff" type lines that just about everyone else uses.

I see this pattern in myself emerging as I see more and more WiS/AFKcloaking/howDOiFITthis threads popping up OVER AND OVER AGAIN making me want too tear my hair out at the ineptitude of folks not even bothering with the search function of the forum.

This forum stuff changes a man.


TL:DR Were all ass holes and if you just started too be a forum warrior you too will be as much of an ass hole as me Lol

Use a throwaway forum alt, rebuild when you decide you've taken it far enough.

Yup. Reading the EVE-O fora made me snap and start ganking. I now sympathize with Goons on a regular basis (not that they need any), all from reading the drivel in here.

And, of course, my posts have probably helped drive others to evil, as well.

Congratulations OP, since you have reached a new level in forum warfare, here are some advanced forum games for you:

- Black & White: Find two threads with almost identical topics on the frontpage. Argue passionately in both of them, representing completely opposing views for each thread.

- Forum Jenga: Find the most stupid poster in a thread (it's not necessarily always me) and agree with everything he says- switch to alts to give him even more alleged support and watch his ego build up until it collapses under it's own weight.

-Regicide: Argue with Tippia and win.

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.
