When a bro calls

What's the general consensus on answering a bro's call who is deep in the lions den and you know someone is going to go down; do you do the math and write him off, or do you jump in risking further loss?

Go or no-go?

Depends....the first lowsec ratting situation you described, i would have let guys wap out, like you did. If the one caught did not make any big mistake i would ask those who got away to send some isk the bro's way to cover the loss.

Looking for a group to pew with ? Have a chat with me.

ISD are unpaid volunteers. I would accept neither condition.

Interesting question; yesterday my CEO ran to my aid in a SFI after I got into a spot of bother in my caracal with a hawk, machariel and talos. So I guess his answer would be to help.

Me? I woulda let him stew, recorded his fear over TS then remix it and play it at every alliance meeting.

Bros before ho's.

Boats and ho's.

Ergo, bros before boats.

To give the correct answer: you need to be an FC (or think like one)

Reputation, isk, ships involved in fight, chances of backup escalation. Both of your bro and you/your force.

If one factor is high enough (in your favor) to ignore the rest you do it, if everything balances out, you do it. All else, let him die and prepare an appropriate; told you so or plenty of fish in the sea, speech.

I have no issue with your commitment to directing fellow forum users to the correct forums.

And yet you do in fact provide this service without pay and on a volunteer basis already.

Still, at least this way, you answer to no one. Smile

Quoted for truth.
And should things go really bad, at least you could fire at your wingman to whore on the killmail.

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

You go help your bro. Sure, you'll lose ships, and therefore isk. Poor but proud, not a bad trade off.

Gotta go help him out. Or at least throw the circuit breaker to the house and claim a power outage.
