Launcher won't launch

First of all I know this has been covered a million times but I have attempted all suggested solutions in all of those threads and nothing seems to work.

My launcher never spits out an error. What it does is after i click "PLAY" ir sits on "LAUNCHING..." for a while and then just rolls back to "PLAY"

This is extremely frustrating as I have paid for game time and have no ability to play the game... which I am actively paying for...

I have tried re-installing, I have tried rebooting, I have tried launching everything as admin, I have tried running updater as admin, I have tried running the repair tool as admin, I have downloaded more recent launchers...

I have never had a problem launching eve before the "launcher" was released...

Did you ever fix your problem? I'm having the same issue, just happend out of the blue.

No... This is insane... my support ticket isn't even getting answered

pretty bullshit that you can pay a monthly sub for a game that straight up doesn't work

So i've submitted 2 tickets for this and both of them are completely gone, as if they were never created. can't launch the game from launcher and tried all sorts of things mentioned in multiple threads. there's also no replies about this either. seems like CCP is trying to do their best to disavow the problems existance completely (must be whats best for business/corporate at this time of month?).

Take money for 4 accounts in bi-monthly payments (so $80) and then prevent me from even getting past the launcher (no i'm not banned)? guess i need to have a chat with bank and visa about this since no help at all about this here.

can get to other games/mmo just fine, but not eve...

I finally got a response to a ticket -

"Hello and please accept our apologies for the delayed reply.

If you run into this issue, do you have an "Exefile.exe" process in your task manager after starting the game (that would be the client process)? If so, could you try and catch such a startup attempt with our logserver tool and attach the resulting log file to this ticket so we can look further into the reasons for the clients not starting up properly.

I hate launchers....

BTW -> 4 accounts? You should ask for reimbursement, that is a lot of money to spend and not be able to play...

Started for me aswell ,when starting through the exe i get a popup saying:

The application was unable to start correctly (0xe06d7363). Click OK to close the application.

It was working fine yesterday evening, today not so much. Ugh

I have 2 accounts that i havent been able to launch reliably for 2 weeks now.

ive tried about everything i can think of to get the client to load up..

again like you guys i get it to sit on LAUNCHING.. for a while and then just rolls back to PLAY
the Exefile.exe process in task manager appears rolls upto 200k memory and stops there with nothing else

i have tried:
Removal and reinstalling the game totally onto a different drive.
Every combo of admin/safemode/compatability.
Deleting cache
Repair tool.
New Direct x driver
New Graphics Driver
Loaded onto a Virtual machine... (was convinced that would be a work around)

none of which has fixed the issue..

Pc spec:

Win 7 ultimate
i7 920 2.7ghz
12Gb ddr3 1600
Ati 4870x2 2Gb

anyone with anymore ideas? skill que is now low :( mega frustrating...

only thing left that I can think of would be trying a partition?

I really like the VM idea but some functionality is still routing through the host OS which could be causing a problem?

At this point we're going out on quite a limb... but eh... if it works it works

Can you maybe post one of the launcher log files so that we might be able to see what might be going wrong? Thanks. :-)

Not sure how I would be able to send any log file other than the launcher log - I have sent other log files through the file upload system built into your ticketing service

Sorry for the bump but I'd rather bump this than create a new topic -

Has ANYONE in this thread or elsewhere that has had this problem gotten it to work yet?

Support ticket solutions are just running me through steps I have already performed unfortunately :/

Again sorry for the late reply. The log file looks very good, as in, you press the play button and it even tries starting the EVE client. Now, to rule out that the EVE installation itself is corrupted for some reason, can you go to the "bin" folder in your EVE directory and try starting the client via double clicking "ExeFile.exe"? If that works then the installation is correct, and it is an issue with the launcher trying to start the client. Please let me know if that worked.

I am having this issue as well. I have reinstalled EVE and the launcher will launch the .exe but it will just sit there infinitley and never pull up a window at all.

Update: (sorry for double post)

I have fixed my version of the client. It turns out it was an issue when I tried updating my NVidia card it didn't install correctly and even though it rolled back, and I had manually installed a beta driver newer than this and even tried an older driver, was giving me issues. I tried to play a few other games and suddenly was hit with "Your system doesn't meet the minimum specs" on other games. I was like.... alright this isn't right haha. I was playing Farcry 3 earlier on high/medium without an issue, let me launch that. Same problem. I realized this was no longer an issue with the eve client.

After hours of uninstalling and reinstalling various versions of my card I said f*ck this I'm gonna system restore to before the update. Did so, went down, made a sandwich, came back and it worked as good as new.

If anyone else is having this issue please try to see if it was the same as mine. Try another game and see if that fails to launch, if so then system restore to prior to your July Update for NVIDIA. I heard there is quite a few issues with this latest update.
