Evesterdam - Amsterdam Eve Online and Dust meetup

When: October 12th, 14:00
Where: café 't Schuim, Spuistraat 189 (just behind the royal palace on Dam square)

Even though there are a LOT of Dutch Eve Online players, it's been years since we had our own meetup. Inspired by CCP Navigator's talk on player gatherings during the Alliance Tournament I have decided to change that and organise Evesterdam!

We'll be taking over the bar for most of the day starting at 14:00 and settle down to swap stories, share some drinks and put a face to the people you may have encountered in Eve Online or Dust 514. Bring a friend, bring your corp or just come by yourself and meet people here - it's all good! To make it even more awesome we have CCP Gargant attending, AND he is bringing Eve goodies to hand out! These will be raffled off between 18:00 and 19:00. In order to participate in the raffle you'll need to come to me to write your name on a ticket.

If you're planning to come, please post your attendance in this thread and/or on the Facebook event so we can get an impression of how many people to expect.

Do you think it could be possible to make this a Low Lands thing and drop it down a bit more south?

Yeah, I'd suggest The Hague or Rotterdam and involving our spare Dutch from the south. Sadly I'll be in Spain on the 12th but I'll forward this to some other Dutch players I know.

Unfortunately I can only organise it in Amsterdam (plus, it wouldn't be Evesterdam anymore). But if/when we do future meets I can keep it in mind. :)

I like the sound of this. Put myself down as a maybe. See if I can arrange a trip over from the UK. Any excuse for a few beers with other gamers. :-)

Wish I could make it but you have picked about the worst time for me (or 3 days after the most inconvenient date :P). I hope this is a roaring success and maybe I can make it to a future one Smile
