Carbides spiking seem to be spiking for almost all races.

Could someone explain why this happened? I can not seem to figure out why this happened.

Only possible thing i could think of was maybe a lot of carbides came out of Fountain and other regions in turmoil and being handed over?
Sounds a bit thin so i am hoping anyone can explain what is happening.

Carbides are rather sensitive to fuel prices.

As far as i can see from the charts the rise bagan quite a bit earlier than the notification of the interdiction.

Or are you saying that this is manipulation beforehand that is now becomming pronounced?

It's almost as if someone had prior knowledge that an interdiction was coming and decided to hit several market areas that would be directly affected by an increase in fuel prices before the public at large was notified. Go figure.

Plus the buffs that are coming to HAC. More expensive fuel + higher demand. Now I'm just hoping CCP would announce they are increasing carbide usage in production Big smile

The most professional manipulations are those that augment an already existing trend. It's easy to get 20-30% more profits going with the trend.

Good thing I have some of this stuff ready for sale P

They did.

Sort of.

That is, there is significant overlap between Carbides and Metamaterials when it comes to raw material usage. Gallente materials both use Cadmium and Cobalt, Caldari both use Titanium and Chromium, etc. The other components of Carbides are the atmospheric gases, which contribute a very small portion to their cost.
