Don't personally see a need for any special casing pulsar/WR - it makes them a unique and possibly interesting challenge the incident with Phoenix Gold's Chimera for instance wouldn't have been half as interesting in a normal space system (as for one he probably wouldn't have pimped it half as much outside of a pulsar) and making max use of ganglinks along with the system effects just encourages that kind of thing.

Yeah, but pulsars and wold rayets are not OP. The enemy can bring ships that also benefit more from it so really your on a decent playing field. It just adds to the terrain of the wh and perhaps pronounces the home field advantage slightly more. Btw have you ever lived in one?

I would probably go as far as to say pulsars especially and WR to do lend themselves towards overpowered setups but also encourage people to throw a lot of ISK down and ultimately are self-containing as you can't bring the system effect around with you to other parts of eve.

As corps like AHARM, Exhale, ADHC, etc. have shown those kind of setups are far from unbeatable either.

i dont even own a c4 pulsar yet and they wanna change it... my suggestion is to do nothing..

i like the way they are.

if you really must tweak something. increase the bonuses 10% XD
and make it so we can deploy mines and gun battery's inside a wh around roid belts and wh exits. to help defend it.

and they are right, if u see a armor wh, bring a armor fleet, if u see a shield wh, bring a shield fleet.. duh.. its not op or even unfair in anyway.. unless your ********.. in which case we cant help you because ya cant fix stupid.


better yet. give a bonus to people who have POS's set up in them XD
call it a *get the hell off my lawn* bonus

From what I understood, the problem is that the wh-effects combined with links would make capitals pretty OP. Same reason they aren't buffing local capital reps yet. CCP needs time to investigate the issue. They aren't saying they are changing them.

I dont see how it matters when both sides can bring them. So what if an archon can tank 15k DPS in a c6 wolf-reyat (sp can archons on both sides of the engagement)

Thats the whole point of these different system effects. We dont want homogenized system effects.

I don't think CCP wants that either. Most likely they just want to make sure about the numbers and how it affects the game before they release the links and local rep buffs for capitals.
