As we all know, there is some standard Callsigns for each factions in FW.

Caldari = Squids

Gallente = Frogs

Then i must say;

Minmatar = Roaches

Amarr = Beetles

I can see where the Caldari and Gallente nicknames come from:

Caldari > Calamari > squid.
Gallente have french ancestry in the lore. Hence frogs.

Where do your suggestions come from ?

Actually, I understood squids to refer to both Caldari and Amarr.

Was thinking in the direction of the ship designs and gameplay that the factions do.Smile

Amarr: Resillient and shiny armor much like the beetles big Shell. Also resillient in the playstyle, even though the roaches swarms them with numbers (alts and such for farming), they still manages to put a fight.

Minmatar: Alot of the roaches consumes the plexes of Gallente / Caldari Space, and are like pests. They even awox at times, though gets their asses kicked by us frogs:P. Shipdessign, awkwerd with antennas like bugs, shipcolor like the Roach. They swarm in numbers and consumes everything worth a while.

Squids: The squid itself comes in many forms, sometimes wierd forms, as the caldari ships. Some are good at solo, and when gathered they are somewhat "toxic". They even reach out and attack more systems at once (as if they had 8 arms, get itBig smile??!).

The might FROGS: Good at squashing bugs (Beetles and occasionally Roaches), some, great soloers, even greater in numbers! Organized and alot of big frogs to lead us. We like to stay in our own pond and kill the stuff causing trouble there.

Disclaimer: had to write something to defend my statement, never thought of the lore(never read it)

Oh yea, and FACT: WE FROGS RULE! (edit)

Eh, Minmatar has lost most of the war zone because Chinese Caldari farmers plex the **** out of everything when everyone is sleeping. Minmatar hasn't been farmatar for a while now

In my very limited experience, I can say Minmatar militia is, at this point, the opposite of farmatar.
Very few people give a **** about plexing and upgrading stuff.
Wich is perfectly fine btw. Not judging anyone, just informing.

More like rats, none better than the other. Noone likes them, they are filthy and like pests. And like the survival instincts of rats (the fact that they are resistant to poisen), pirates dont attack unless they know they have the upperhand.Cool

The fact that they are Slavers gives them all the more reason to be reffered to something that needs squashingTwisted

Think you might be offending beetles by comparing them to Amarr.

We are just squiddies when flying with other Caldari.

Only when the Caldari and Amarr fly together do we become Calamarri.

When alone the Amarr are simply call 'those crazy fairy lovers'

The Minmatards are simply dirty slaves.

*Cough* *Cough*

I'm not sure pirates that you are referring to, your description sounds like a highsec wardec carebear corp to me... I take fights all the time where I most definitely do not have the upper hand, hence all my losses (though have had some great fun and win sometimes too). I would be willing to say the best fights I have ever had were severely outnumbered/outclassed.

Minmatar - "Minnies"
Amarr - "Maries"

But that would be racist and so thread locked...

Tell that to the gal fed thorax and caracal who ran from my navy omen in a 2 v 1 fight where I landed on the thorax a 0 with the caracal at range; almost a perfect setup for them. I tend to find most militia members from all the militias are usually so busy looking for an exit strategy in a fight that they completely miss opportunites to take fights they could win. If the tables were turned and two decently skilled pirates in a thorax and caracal landed on a FW navy omen at 0, the nomen pilot would die (probably while trying to run) or if its caldari it would probably live cause the lows would all be warp stabbed (is that a squid fleet doctrine? just curious cause they even stab +2 to warp strength ventures...)

There are few bad pirates in Black Rise, but many bad members of FW.

The pursuit of excellence and stabbed plexing alts.
