Does a cloaked ship get listed on the Overview?

The Boogeyman doesn't appear on your overview either.

Sadly, no one ever calls for the nerfing of The Boogeyman.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

That will be my next campaign after Frank is released from rehab.

Additionally, they do not show up on combat probes either. You'll see the pilot in local, but unless you move within 2km of him, you'll never know he is there.

Even docked ships don't appear on the overview. The overview is broken.

Silly! The overview only works between 9 & 5, then it goes home to his wife and kids.

And stealth is fine, no nerfs needed. My friend Harvey the rabbit says he can see them while cloaked, but I think he's making it up! Carrots good for eyes.. pfft! Roll

[b][i]Eve is like the way that gun law equals a lot of deaths followed by a lot of people being real nice to each other, well, it would be if we all had our names and address posted on our character info! I wonder just how many players would still act like assholes? Fly safe, and lock your back door tonight

Posting in an AFK Boogeyman thread.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

What point would the cloak have, if the ship's still visible on the overview ? :(

Still couldn't lock it. You would just know its on grid.

.... and hop right over to get within 2000m and decloak it.

Entirely defeats the point of having a cloak.

A year ago I decided to try this whole AFK cloaking thing out. I got a nemesis and cloaked up in fountain, TEST space. At first the ratters were docked up, but I left my client running for 16 hours and eventually they could no longer resist their greedy urges to rat.

I killed one of their ratting drakes in a haven along with some of their haulers doing PI.

Then they got all cautious again and I recloaked. I went to bed. I woke up 4 hours later for some reason and my computer screen was still on. I got really lucky, because right as I woke up someone asked in local if I was still cloaked up.

I got up and said "Nope" in local and went back to sleep.

AFK cloaking is fine, it's you that are terrible.

Things are only impossible until they are not.

Hah. Boat tried an organized campaign to do that, but it was not necessary since blackops and the like already go around afk cloaking and ganking all over the bad guys.

Has anybody ever tried dousing for a cloaked ship? Supposedly they had people finding submarines that way.

I routinely sit in front of my monitor with bent clothes hangars. I haven't quite managed to nail a cloak ship yet, but I can feel myself getting closer every day.

Thanks, all. Was sick or I'd have responded sooner.

I figured cloaked ships wouldn't show on overview, but I've seen some dumb things on various MMOs over my life. Like a radar/minimap that shows markers for snipers Shocked, so I thought I better double check Smile

There are a lot of guides you can find using google search that will explain you a lot better the cloaking mechanics than the answers you'll get here with a question like yours.

Later you'll understand this.
