Training this to 4 right now, and looking for people's opinions as to whether I go further. I have all other high or medium impact gunnery support skills to 5 (Gunnery, Rapid Firing, Surgical Strike, Sharpshooter, all three Hybrid Turret skills) but do have plenty of non-gunnery skills that could do with some work.

I fly exclusively Gallente subcaps, primarily in lowsec and highsec solo PVP targetting both combat ships and mining ships, and already have decent but not perfect drone skills (DI 5, tech 2 heavies and smaller, only faction drones for sentries but don't use them much)

I support the New Order and CODE. alliance. www.minerbumping.com

If you have nothing else you feel is crucial to train at this moment, then yes, Trajectory Analysis 5 is worth the 16 days.

I wear my goggles at night.

Any spelling/grammatical errors come complimentary with my typing on a phone

It's a good feeling to have ALL your gunnery suport skills to V.
16 days will go fast, and then it's done forever. Well worth the peace of mind/satisfaction imo.

Given the fact that you use gallente, were you must be pretty close to your opponent a 5% additional range of accuracy could be a world of difference as you approach your victim, or if your viticm is able to stay away from your optimum dmg range.

So yeas lvl 5 is a must on this skill.

i always thought that the skill should have been 3x at best. compare it to Sharpshooter which is 2x for a better 5% optimal, that affects not just optimal, but also falloff.

instead its a 5x skill, that doesn't even enable additional skills/modules like sharpshooter does (enables large long range T2 guns)

only one character that specializes on small gunnery has ever done some training on it, and it was only for a week before CCP added honeycombing and the ECCM skills... even those skills to V looks like a better use f the SP to me.

I've just hit level 4 too so that I can use Tracking Computer II. For me as an Amarr pilot using lasers, training to 5 is not that useful. With my current large lasers it only increased the falloff by 1km.

If you use projectile turrets, you get a lot more bang for buck out of the skill, but I wouldn't train it over drones or other support skills.

7d 5h left, so yes, I consider it worth training.

Of course, it will be one of the last Gunnery skills I ever train (last will be the capital skills to 4, all currently 3).

In 12.48 days I'll hit 100 million skill points.

Yeah I'm considering this sort of timeframe for it now (i.e. 'yes I want this skill, and 2015 sounds like a good time to train it')

I think as far as long training time skills goes, the next one I do will be Advanced Weapon Upgrades 5 or Heavy Assault Cruisers 5.

Advanced Weapon Up 5 defiantly before TA 5. It will literally be my last gunnary skill trained, as it for me is better to just cross train other races ships and gunnary skills than that one. E.G. any other race cruiser 5. Its roughly the same train time and opens up several T2 ships and the strat cruiser.

AWU V, then other more obscure fitting skills like weapons rigging V. When that's all done I'd start thinking about Trajectory Analysis V.

Trajectory Analysis V really shines with Artilleries, and with ANY Projectiles if the hull has a built-in bonus to falloff.

It's EXTREMELY nice to have for the Vagabond, the Sleipnir, etc
