however they have no boots and goggles

(competition is good for business)

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.

its a pretty decent game but has no depth, i played it, when it has some time to patch and add stuff it will easily compete with eve

also to the "its a browser game" retards. it looks better then eve, if you would play it you would have figured that out.

also, their walking in stations thing... works...
no lag in station for no reason
looks better the CQ
doesnt make it impossible to do anything because it loads for 20 mins.

I don't think the game needs help from any Eve players.

Whether it's competition or not for Eve is irrelevant. The message that they put out about "listening to what their customers want" is something that any company shoudl aspire to. And CCP should take note of that.

People were constantly telling me I was crazy. For a long time I didn't believe them, but after a while, I started to think they might be right.

But it turns out that they were all wrong. One of the voices in my head is a psychiatrist and he says I'm perfectly sane.

A game with blatant pay2win and minimal sandbox is not much competition for EVE. I'd guess it would appeal to the most hardcore PVPers, but not very many people beyond that...

lol looks like it is to CCP anyways

Looks like CCP isnt doing any moderating either. This has nothing to do with EVE at best and is advertising for another game at worst and no lock lol

Richard's tinfoil theory that theyre trying to drive off the player base might have merit

If you think a browser game looks better then eve your graphics card must be a antique and can't run eve on max settings or don't know how to turn the graphics up on eve. O_o The only other space game out now that looks similar to eve is X3TC. Graphically there is no other space game out yet that compares to eve.

Startrek online is ok. But no other game has the depth of eve online out right now. I got to level 18 in BSG and got board. Has too much pve as a requirement. I hate games that make you grind. More like a copy of eve then anything else with the time SP system but its weird as a hybrid that requires you to level grind. Being a cylon and killing human players is fun but there is nothing to lose so feels nothing like eve. Missing the eve rush!!!

I have played this game and its actually not to bad, in fact given its built on the Unity3d engine its a considerable achievement. That said I agree that it does not make much of a competitor for Eve. Its basically a space action shooter with some basic MMO elements.

Really at the moment their really aren't any direct competitors for Eve Online from within the same genre. You could say every MMO out their is competition for Eve, but strictly speaking when you break down the mechanics that bring people to Eve in comparison to other MMO's, generally speaking the competition really doesn't have that much on Eve.

For all the things Eve is and isn't, if their is any true thing about Eve its that its a unique game in the market place. Sure we as players have plenty to complain about, but their really are few alternatives for people looking for a complex, deep, sci-fi PvP MMO that is as feature rich as Eve. Its why I have and continue to play this game despite some of the less than stellar decesions on CCP's part.

I disagree entirely.

I reckon the more fumb ducks there are in EVE the better for those of us with more than a teaspoonful of brain. After all; who really wants a fair fight?
