No one, unless I've done something stupid... in which case I blame myself.

Yep I have to blame alcohol, that's been the firestarter for many epic failures in my life.

The first time my toon was killed (my main, not my spokes person alt), I was able to catalog each mistake that got me killed. As I made each mistake, I realized - after the fact - why it was a mistake. Then, the ship blew up.

Although, I could see the mistakes as they happened, I was unable to correct them. They'd already been made and time had run out. After it was over, I replayed the scene over in my head, and learned from those errors. My toon's killer opened a chat with me, and asked if I was mad at him. I think he was trying to "harvest my tears." I didn't want to give him the satisfaction, so I remained calm and objective about it. I was amazed that he then gave me advice on how to better equip my ship. He found fault with my choice of guns and modules for the ship I was flying. I thanked him, and that was that.

One thing I did not figure out was how it was I failed to warp out with my pod. I thought I was doing it right, spamming the jump button while a star gate was selected, but that did not work (I'd seen a YouTube video discussing the subject).

I was too busy analyzing the scenario to place blame, but I suppose that unconsciously I accepted responsibility for my own demise.

Watch this space.  New exciting signature in development.

Blaming is overrated, I don't blame anyone because it's not productive.

Plus I fly cheap / expendable ships which aren't worth any attention if lost.

So after years of only being able to read on this forum at work due to filters a question arose:

When losing a ship that was not due to a pre planned PvP engagement (by that I mean you knew there was going to be fighting that you might lose a ship in), who do you blame more?

I've found there are the people who blame the other person (F*** blobbers, cloaky f***s, It's an exploit)

Or

There are the people who blame themselves (knew I shouldn't have flown that without a scout, why did I load it so full?, I'm a moron!)

I just wanted to know who does which and where in the game they relate to. I've live in null/low my entire EVE career and it's mostly been biased towards the latter. This however is also likely due to me being with the same people my entire career too.

I'll start it off

I'm from null (mainly) and I blame myself so so so much...

I really don't blame anyone. You simply won't avoid losing ships unless you stay docked all of the time or only ever engage when the odds are overwhelmingly in your favor.
