So one morning after working all night I get home and decide to run a mission or 2 right. So I top off my faction ammo and roll out. I get to the next last room in Massive attack and hit the gate. I rest my head and wait for the warp drive to kick in. Next thing i remember I wake up and see my armor going to zero then up to 15% taking hull damage. I hit warp at 85% hull. I am yelling WARP YOU FAT B-ITCH. $&(*#$@! Any way warp kicks in and I am smoking, my hooves are BURNING BABY. I get to a station at 15% hull. I dock, buy some cheap ass hull reppers and warp to a safe spot fire up the hull reppers and align to the station. While that is going on I shower. (Multitasking, it's a skill you know) I come back all is fixed. So after my corp mates make fun of me for a few minutes I tell them good night....er morning...and go to bed.

While I avoiding having to replace a very nice mission ship and the LOL'z of my corp mates. I learned a lesson, don't fall asleep at the helm. While it would have sucked to lose my ship I do follow Rule #1. Fly not that which you can not replace. The Gods were smiling on me that morning.

Its also nice to have a strong cap stable tank. That way they can pound on you forever and not blow you up.

some time ago i used to run lvl4s while i'm sleeping at morning after getting my daughter into kindergarten.
I used Dominixes with ogres. You know: warp to mission, get aggro, launch drones and go sleep. Return 1 hour after and go next room.

Great times..... Cool

This is what I did in a Sansha Pirate invasion mission except I came to way to late. Ofc I had to wake up to se the 4 last seconds in my Domis life.

After that I fitted a passive Rattler and I ALWAYS without exception take that out if I feel even a hint sleepy

Something similar happened to me once or twice in the past that's one of the reasons I now fly rattlesnakes.

For some reason "cap stable" is the goal of many noobs. Unless you want to AFK or sleep through missions it's not a good thing. I used to have an AFK cap stable Dominix before the AI changes. Obviously passive tanks will be cap stable but with active it's usually at the cost of DPS or is a doing a very low amount of repair.

Yea cap stable mission ship is a Noob move. 7 - 10 mins of cap is all you need really provided you have **** our cough DPS to clear the room in that time.
