So, what do you all do when outside the pod?

My position requires I do quite a bit of work when not in the Pod. I also like to keep up on the news which is easier when not being shot at, so I'll do that as well. For fun; smoke, eat, taking part in and watching sports (splinterz especially), a select choice of holo-series' and there's an awful lot of sleep.

As a miner by trade you would think i would find dirt and grime fairly old fairly quickly, but i personally find myself at a bit of a loss without it these days. so a number of years back to took up Paleontology on local worlds, shifting from one hole to another just seems to suit me. Plus on a more personal note, getting to name a long dead species ... Priceless.Big smile

I have nothing exciting or fun to use as a Forum sig... eh, S**t happens...

I spend very little time out of my capsule.
After almost 7 years with this thing it's begun feeling like my body, and I'll admit I've lost some of my physical strenght over the years. The pods automatic muscle stimulation system doesn't quite give the same as real exercise.

When i do leave my body and walk around in the bag of flesh that used to represent my being, it's almost always to attend ceremonies at the monastery i was educated at. They require us to physically be there and as such is one of the only things i can't do from my pod.
Rarely, but it does happen, I find that my holographic environments won't allow for satisfying meditation and I unpack my "traveling altar".

Reading what you other people spend your time on has made me feel a bit like a hermit, though.
I might go try out fishing again. I haven't done that since i was egged.

I enjoy crochet, long walks, gardening, and reading self-improvement novels.

I also embroider reality on intergalactic message boards.

Fallen from grace. And as night comes, may flights of Angels visit your sleep... shoot your ships and steal all of your stuff.

I have a son, I have recently become engaged, and I have the rest of my family and Clan, all of whom get the lion's share of any time I have outside of the capsule, and the duties which come with it. My studies receive most of what little time is left.

I was a tailor before I became a capsuleer. I still enjoy the craft, though now I do it to make unique gifts for friends and family for special ocassions, not to earn my dinner. I also love to swim. Love it. I try to go at least once a day.

Honestly, most of the time being in the capsule is a hobby, a form of stress relief. Most of my work involves planetside politics and the business of business as a Khanid Holder. A somewhat different prospect from an Amarrian one, I'll add. Most recently I've been dealing with dealers and exporters for the first wine to come from the former Vitalia vineyards.

On a more personal level, I have a rigorous daily regime of exercises and martial arts practice, and if it's sunny, you'll definitely find me sprawled out in the garden.

Most of the time I spend outside of the pod is learning how to live and enjoy the life I have. Might sound odd, but having been a shut-in for most of my life, being thrust out into the great wide open of space has shown me I have missed a lot and now it's time to make up for those wasted years.

Between managing the family business, partaking in it, studying Scriptures and observing my duties to my liege lords, there is still some time left for private activities. Luckily for me, many of my duties come with the things that I enjoy - the Lord blessed me in that regard.

I enjoy running (not very compatible with smoking but, whatever), sampling various boutique label and small batch liquors, searching for the perfect hand-rolled cigar and learning about Sebiestor philosophy and spiritualism. Oh, and drones. I love taking them apart, modifying them and looking for ways to make them do things their designers never intended. Playing around with mechanical devices in general is relaxing for me.

Taunting blowhards on GalNet can also be fun.

I spend a lot of time at work - beyond my duties as executor of LDRSS, I am an associate researcher with Lai Dai Research Biomedical and Cybernetic, and at times help out in the medical labs. Most of my time is spent at work on decision map proofing and analysis, moreso than I spend in the pod, certainly. I also end up having to spend time each day being tested and checked - my implants are very experimental and require a delicate balance.

Because of this, I don't really have a lot of time for hobbies. I own a lap harp and try to practice with it, but I'm not very good. I also occasionally watch a Splinterz match - I sponsor the Todaki Accelerators.

Thank you for asking :)

Many of my off hours are spent with the people we rescue. I prefer to take my meals in the dining commons with Matriculants and crew. Today brought that home to me in a powerful way but that is another story. I spend as much time as is allowed visiting and getting to know the people we rescue. When I have opportunity, I enjoy reading, especially as a means to relax before sleep. In short periods between patrols, I enjoy coffee and conversation with my crew and center supervisors. The "Leaning Tower" is our favorite café. On very rare occasions, I visit an old friend planet-side and sit by the campfire in quietness. But, that doesn't happen but maybe once or twice per year.

Welcome.

Hmm, maybe I should contract out LDRBC to look at my visual implants, be nice to have a little better range or resolution, and I can always toss a few million at them for their trouble.

When I am outside of my Pod, I tend to get some actual food. read up on the latest changes the Theology Council is trying to implement. Pull up a picture of Karmilla Strife and try to figure out how to woo her into becoming a my #1 Slave, so I can have some quality Enlightenment time with her.

Outside of that, usually get some sleep.

We would be happy to arrange a consultation, if you'd like. Our specialty is in neurological implants - eyes are certainly included. More specifically, we design implants with high isomorphism to the human body. Most of them tend to be subcellular and molecular when possible. It's a little pricey, but I think you'll agree that the results are worth it!

Please write, or give me a call, if you're interested in setting up an appointment.

Sleep and plotting the murder of my next victim, mostly. Occasionally I'll spend some time with the household slaves, but for the most part, plotting murder. And sleeping. Lots of sleeping.

You know, there are some excellent capsule hangover remedies down in the Kindgom. I usually start with one of those. Pax root, fruit juice, and a shot of whiskey... or blackrock crumble, mint, and a shot of whiskey. Of course, you can leave out the crumble and mint and still be well on your way...
