Shocked...Straight...X

On July 4th at 4:10, I had made a courier contract to myself. I had just joined my first corp and a new friend there gave me a walk through of using the courier system. I was hauling all of my important stuff to a station closest to the WH where my corp's POS is located.

Expiration date was set to 1 day, and It's status now is "outstanding". After doing some research today to find out what had happened, I realize my collateral was set very low.. to about .5% of the container's value. My reward was low too 200,000 isk for 6 jumps.

Confident that the contract was fine and the delivery was complete, and that the WH would have collapsed by the time I had logged on again. I decided to leave it all there and work within WH space for a while. It's now a month later and I just come back to pick it all up, but it's nowhere to be found.

I feel that I may have to Delete the contract, but I'm worried about doing that, I don't wanna loose it all for good. I have over a years worth of a skill plan in that container... Help?

So you failed to deliver your own courier contract? Not exactly sure why you had collateral or a reward in the first place, or why it matters that you had it low in the second. Just check your assets and find where the plastic wrapped bundle is, then go get it?

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

if you created the contract but never accepted it, then in the character you created the contract look look for the contact, it will be listed as expired or w/e, delete it. it will deliver the item.

if you accepted the contract already, then look for the plastic wrap.

Deleting a contract means exactly that. You aren't deleting items, you are deleting the order. The items will return to the station hanger.

I did this to avoid getting ganked when traveling with a mass of valuables. And also just to get a bit of a feel on how it works. It was recommended my my friend, so i tried it. I wasn't too sure about what to do with reward and collateral. Didn't have any idea of how the courier system worked in this game. Figured that it would cost some money when I get somebody to transport my goods for me, via npc or not.

It says in my wallet journal that a contract reward had been deposited for completion. So it went through, I'm guessing. But I tried looking in my assets, and looking to see if I'd have them in a delivery hanger at point A and B. Nothing there. Seems I don't even have a delivery hanger there. The only option I seem to have with this is Delete Contract, and I have a bad feeling I had let it sit there for too long, or something and it's gone because of that, for some odd reason. I'm as confused with this as you guys are with me lol. Still riding that great learning curve it seems Ugh

it it says "delete contract" / "cancel" it means you made the contract, but you never accepted. so no plastic wrap was generated. the items are still "in the contract" if you delete the contract the items are released back to hangar or delivery if it was a corp contract.

and on the odd change it did get bugged you should ticket the items back, no reason for a GM to tell you "our logs don't reflect that" so you'll get them back.

Sounds shady to me. Are you sure you're not scamming yourself? Setting the collateral too low can be very tempting to unscrupulous haulers. I bet you peaked inside your plastic wrap and decided your shipment was worth more to you than the collateral and you kept it.

Have you used yourself as a hauling service before? Do you trust yourself implicitly? Clearly you have a smudge on your record now, and I would look into your background before trusting yourself again.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

I had a feeling it was the right thing to do. I'll try it now, and next time I'll know better. Thank you sir!
